Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Personally think it’s between us and Parra

All reports are that Lee, Sheens and Benji have some confidence he’ll come - Parra are lacking confidence he’ll stay

Could go anywhere.... the less noise the better we seem to be a lot more in house whilst Parra seem to be blabbing everything to the media in terms of how confident they are he’ll stay hence numerous reports about him

Think we may have the edge if the silence remains

I just don't want him. I know he is the best half available, and I know he is very good. But I just don't want Moses to be a big part of us finally turning things around. I would rather finish 8th with Brooks and Doueihi, then 5th with Moses.
It might be 9th -> 8th though....or better. Plus the improved club image, which gets us the "next Ponga".

I was dirty on him too; the way he left, but after thinking on it for a while, my stance has softened. I hope he comes "home"!

I get that. Will he make that much difference ? He won't be here next year and will we end up with a guy who isn't that good. He has been playing behind a gun pack with some gun outside backs. He goes missing in games as well.

other forum says no news today on moses.
Can only think it's due to an announcement in the works for next week. A few scenarios ...

1. Moses signs with Tigers for '24 so contract needs to be lodged with NRL.

2. An arrangement made for Eels to release Moses for '23 and Tigers/Eels working out transfer arrangement (maybe Tigers take Nathan Brown at full freight as well & release a player to Eels).

or my left-field speculator:

3. Eels to announce extension for Moses on same day that Tigers announce signing Dylan Brown for '24.

Benji loves Dylan, it's been previously reported that Dylan wants to stay in western Sydney, Tigers may offer Dylan half-back position which he played in junior rep days which may be enticement to be able to lead the team around the park. I'm sure Dylan had a long kicking game in junior reps too which doesn't get utilised now due to Moses.

Literally dosent make sense, he is the best half available and can literally turn us into a solid top 6 team but you want to stay fighting to make 8

Or we sign both Moses and Brown for '24 and the Eels forum implodes 🙂
I do like the idea of Brown as an alternate. Making a large offer to both would also make them have to choose.

Or nothing is happening until the salary cap & CBA is agreed

Or Moses hasn't formally decided

Or Moses and Brown don't end up here and we move to the next plan

Reality is his announcement makes zero difference if it's now or in a few months time.
