U do realise that there is a cap and if we get Moses and Bateman , that will be our lot , also there is not a great numberWe need a gun player at 1, 6 or 7 and ideally 2 gun players.

It does not seem to work to well then,It lets us keep more juniors.
Then once they reach Jersey Flegg, they merge into Wests Tigers.
The upgraded pack is a great start towards redemption, however without a leader and some guys who can regularly convert opportunities into wins, we may still struggle to make the 8, considering of course that there is now more competition for those spots. To go with the above text , of class fullbacks , and even if we could get one to come we would be paying well over $1.4 million , so let’s hope a much improved pack takes us to the finals
It'd make a massive difference to us but who/ how to you get a player like this. There are only so many in the comp.
I’m confident it will in the years to come.It does not seem to work to well then,
Does it.

Do we rate him, or not?Hopefully we can manufacture Charlie to be one.
Jury is still out for me but at least he grew up playing fb (so I have read) and not trying to be one like all the others we’ve had. I hope he gets a crack at fb and not centre like some have said. Otherwise we have a fb trying to play centre and a 5/8 still trying to play fb (Laurie).Do we rate him, or not?
imo,the game has/is changing for numerous reasons, instead of churning thru players that aren;t the 2 in 100 player by a certain date/minimum time frame, clubs will nurture and educate their players over a longer periodI’m confident it will in the years to come.
The club’s attitude towards its junior systems has completely changed in the last 2-3 years (it’s been long overdue).
Matthew Betsey and Shannon Gallant in particular have done a terrific job.
You sign a Herbie Farnsworth who is a proven NRL player with all of the skills required to be a Topline fullbackIt'd make a massive difference to us but who/ how to you get a player like this. There are only so many in the comp.
Do we rate him, or not?
Agreed.
One more key spine player (e.g. Moses) and I’d be very confident of finishing in the eight, but not right now.
Definitely should improve from this year though.
Still a bit confused why with the 2 junior teams provided a pathway into Flegg our Flegg team In the recent past is mostly made up of players that were directly recruited to start at that grade.I’m confident it will in the years to come.

Because they’d probably be hoping that the best of the juniors are good enough to bypass Flegg as much as they can and go straight to NSW Cup and then NRL.Still a bit confused why with the 2 junior teams provided a pathway into Flegg our Flegg team In the recent past is mostly made up of players that were directly recruited to start at that grade.
Looks like Sheens only really wants Staines at FB and Nofo on right wing, so he rates him with the tactics he has in mind.Do we rate him, or not?
Don’t think Laurie will have first crack at FB?Looks like Sheens only really wants Staines at FB and Nofo on right wing, so he rates him with the tactics he has in mind.
Can't see a spot for AD except at FB if Staines doesn't work out or as a utility on bench who could cover most positions.
Plenty of tries next year me thinking.
The way Sheens is thinking he's looking to play Laurie at 5/8 trusting that Brooks and Laurie's defensive shortcomings will be shored up by Paps and Bateman covering them.Don’t think Laurie will have first crack at FB?

Risky but looks like the club is going back to try and outscore opponent.
Conventional tactics didn't work for us for whatever reason.
Nothing official from Sheens.Has Sheens stated AD won't be at 6. I thought AD would get first shot at 6 and Laurie at 1.
