So the terms of the deal are important not necessarily the signing which is what makes a good negotiator.

If we did sign Bateman for 4 yrs that’s a joke - like re-signing Naden for 3 yrs when he had no other options (same mistakes we made with Reynolds’s and Mbye for 4 yrs)… even Klemmer should’ve been a 2yr + 1yr option for the money we are paying but hey Justin, Lee and Sheens are gods.

But in the end - hope you’re right and I’m wrong.

The club has done well to get these players when a new team has entered the comp. Terms are confidential like any employment contract. You only need to ask yourself is the roster stronger than last season. The answer is a big yes!

The signings have given WT much credibility which can only benefit the club with future signings.

Full back and Centres should be the next targets. Chrighton, Fairnsworth, Ramian, Best. Landed one of them would be incredible.

I don't believe Sheens would care if you attribute those players to him. The club has done extremely well to recruit the players it has to date with the possibility of more to come.

Peach was Madge’s desperate rotten fruit signature. I still remember seeing the stupid grin and him trying to tell everyone what a great signing it was. I knew then Madge was not gunna gets us anyone descent.
I reckon Sheens would have had some input on Dilfart coz he was in England. Also I reckon Sheens would have had input on the others. That’s just what I reckon though.

1) every year our defence got worse , we conceded more points every year he was there .
2) I think i am correct our attack also got worse every year as well .
So really how could u keep a coach who can’t sure up ur defence and can’t get ur team to score .
For me his major problem was his constant one out football, one off the ruck made it very easy for the defence to close us down .

2) I think i am correct our attack also got worse every year as well .
So really how could u keep a coach who can’t sure up ur defence and can’t get ur team to score .
For me his major problem was his constant one out football, one off the ruck made it very easy for the defence to close us down .

Madge got the sack because he didn't win enough games with a dud roster. You can hold him accountable for his part, but the biggest problem for this club and the reason why we are like a revolving door for players and coaches is the lack of quality with the roster compared to other teams.
The representative season has demonstrated that for ages - we are regularly close to full strength aside from injury while other teams are testing their depth.
On paper we have recruited well with one out standing buy, but plenty also bought into the Packerlino and Reynolds turning around our fortunes too. If some are reserving judgement till they start performing it's for good reason.

As I said before. Those two players were signed AFTER Sheens arrived. Madge without Sheens was unable to sign anyone

With Hastings controlling the play we had our 2nd worst attacking year, worst win loss record and worst defensive year.

Our attack scored 150 less points for the season with our attack being controlled by Hastings than the season before under Brooks, even 2020 when we played less games we scored 90 more points.

People see what they want of course but I just don’t see how Hastings would’ve been more valuable to the side over Brooks if we want an attacking style game plan.

Its all mute anyway Hastings is gone, Brooks/AD/Laurie who knows and well we have a totally different dynamic team wise for 23.
