Zero tackle are reporting that the tigers still have 2 roster spots to fill after signing Bateman and that it's looking more likely that Nathan Brown will be joining for 23 to free up more money for Moses and Taupau.

maybe its a club like the roosters where they have internationals, soo etc then reserve graders making up the top squad. you would imagine they have very different training requirements

Agreed, you'd be wanting to set training to push and improve your best players but having so many people in the squad training in preseason, that level is likely beyond a portion of the guys meaning that whole sessions can break down and become a shemozzle

Brown would just finish our rebuild, of our forwards . I know a lot say we don’t need him , but it’s a long season and the kids can’t be thrown in too early .

Also it is a message to a potential half or fullback recruit you will be playing behind a strong forward pack.

This is wrong though, we have one spot left, not two.

A few pages like Zero Tackle have gotten mixed up and not included Matamua’s upgrade to the Top 30.

RTS is one of the best players to play the game. He went unnoticed after he left the Roosters due to the Warriors being out of the spotlight, and that they were a terrible team in every year he played except 2018. Some of his efforts were superhuman. Forward pack would run for 500m total and he'd run 300m almost exclusively from one-off-the-ruck runs. He deserved better from his teammates.

Very well said! I have the same recollections. There's no doubt he'd add a lot of class to the Tigers side. Just worry that the best is past him and that he might come back on a downward slide or be struck down by late career injuries. He is a true professional though and his commitment would provide a great lead for the younger brigade to follow.

I agree with all the posters before me. Plenty of depth in the Tigers engine room now. Signing Brown would be a waste of money and have the effect of blocking a young gun we are hoping to bring through. No need whatsoever. The more I think about it, if we were able to snare RTS, it would be brilliant. On the right deal of course........

Apparently Benji has asked him, but wouldn’t hurt to rephrase the question a few more times? What the chooks May do is offload Keary, move Teddy to 6 and Suaalii to 1?
But you never know your luck and we are talking again with those player agents?

I posted on here before I was told medical retirement for Keary he won't see out season 23 just 1 head knock and he is gone

Let’s forget rts we should be targeting Stephen Chrighton

Maybe I'm a poor judge but I believe Crichton is rated way too high by many on here.

I agree. Crichton is much younger but RTS is more complete and has a far superior attitude. No room for show ponies at the Tigers.
