Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If we sign Moses.... instantly our reputation and perception around the league changes

Easily biggest signing in Wests Tigers history, if Sheens and Benji can get it done it gives you a large indication of the respect they both have around the league

m in my opinion.

Some Muppet wrote in their first post that we should try offload Joffa. Stupidity at it's finest.

Joffa is a limited player. He's probably a better player for us these days. But he's solid and reliable, and room our player of the year last season. How much the likes of Twal and Joffa play depends on how quickly our youngsters adapt

They compaired joffa achievements with Seyfarth. Not a bad comparison given both players have done nothing despite joffa internet popularity.

Beats talking about Kyle Flanagan

Agree. If we miss him, nothing has changed, especially if he goes to the dogs.

Joffa will have his best season ever this year. He wont have to tackle his ass off and then try to carry the team up the field.
I like twal alot but i rate Joffa over Twal
he will have a good year, a solid player but he won't get anywhere near being in our top 3 forwards though for 2023
He is not better than klemmer, Papali or Bateman
Twal defends very well every team needs a Alex Twal

so we can gain a good half and release a forward who we have THREE quality forwards coming in Klemmer, Papali and Bateman.
Yes we can do without Joffa if it meant Moses in 2023 as an example
For a 12mth gain but overall 2yr loss from that good forward which would provide us 4 good forwards for the 2yrs that the said half was here isn’t smart business - especially one who is inform and injury free.

We want a top line squad and the bigger clubs don’t trade quality players for a reason - they build the best squad possible.

We would be better off offering AD IF he isn’t viewed in our long term plans.

Need to remember the said player needs to agree and Joe committed to us for 3yrs knowing about Sheens/Benji transition.

Can Agree to disagree, my view is this would be a dumb trade.

Took an off season break .So now I feel we have a competitive pack and a few half decent backs .Would love a class center .Interested to see if our famous no 7 will click in 2023 after 10 years of trying ?
The good thing about signing a few stars is that it shifts our image up and one or two more then we have critical mass to attract more
Only thing re MM is if we sign for 2024 then maybe he gets mid season release like we gave Luciano however I remain dubious

I agree Joffa makes a great addition to the 17 I was mainly thinking who another club might want that is replaceable to an extent and at a decent salary and Joffa fits that bill as on more than say Twal. As a player Joffa is great but jus think he has some trade prospects.

AD would be a good one to offload 2023 but don't think a club will pay what he wants that's all.

As for Brooks well he is the lure for Moses wanting to play in the halves together behind a good pack

Noffo would be the best one to offload given the inflated price and the players that can cover his spot but no club would be stupid enough

if parramatta don't release MM now they won't release him midway through 2023 you wouldn't think
We could get lucky parramatta might enquire about Luke keary

Joffa AND Seyf should not be released.

Not 1 club would offer a nrl top line player for Seyfarth.

Hope he proves me wrong & Furner can get him up another few levels (which I doubt) - last year when he had ample opportunity to get going he was the most ineffective forward in the comp (based on efficiency & impact).

It’s a mute convo as neither will be trade bait.

Dogs are definitely not out of it everyone has forgotten about them they have definitely made him a offer I was told 5million for 4 years not sure what Moses does but it’s definitely between us dogs and parra
between us and parramatta I reckon honestly don't think dogs are in it
