Great post if we’re relating it to the clubs failure in who they select as their 1/2 back.
Not so much when it’s defending imbeciles who insult players and their families from behind the safety of their anonymous keyboard.

Jad, only a complete idiot would not take the most money he could get. That is the clubs problem,not his. His form for the dollars,is questionable, But AD on big dollars , and others do not get a mention, Brooks for all his critics, always gave for 80 minutes, he never dogged it like Mbye , Packer ,the listless Tamu,and a few others.

AD has been criticised by many here, as have other plodders like Tamou and literally every other player you mentioned.

Please also remember the tanking of that final game of 2021 against the Bulldogs. Brooks definitely ‘did his bit’ there, disgraceful effort.

Well ,for once ! You have included other players, unlike some of your ilk. We have been bad all over , except for a few, but they get little mention. I propose a question, Would Munster,Cheese, Cleary. DCE, or any of those, looked great in a Tigers jersey in the last 5 yrs,?
I'm not saying Brooks is great, how he goes this year is 50/50, and you can throw the rest of the side in the same category. We have not a acheived anything yet.
After many , many , hours of perusing games, the coaches have not extended 3 of our key players from last year, and exited others., Then bought 4 new players, it's an 8 player turnaround.
Give them all a chance !

I have never singled out Brooks as the reason we have been poor,however he has been at the club longer than any other player and probably had a larger chunk out of the salary cap than anyone else for much of that.For nearly all of his time here the team has not been very good mainly because of the 2 periods of time when our cap was badly managed (Sheens and then Cleary) and it has taken a long time to rectify it.
This year he needs to show why he should be retained and that applies to a few others as well

If he was playing in a different position there would not be this conversation. The fact is, he is playing in one of the most important positions on the field and it is part of his repertoire that he seems to not have the ability to do. I think if we look across the rest of the teams they all have talkers and organisers in those key positions.

That bulldogs game was easily one of the worst things my eyeballs have ever seen and I’ve been on some very speculative websites

That game against the Bulldogs, Brooks had a crap game as did everyone, but no way did he tank it. He ran for 71m (20PCM) he had more run metres than Stef, Liddle, simpkin, Joffa and Amone, slightly less than Twal. Had a poor day in defense but still made more tackles than LL. That is not tanking.

By contrast, Mitchell moses in his last game with us ran for a total of 6m. Thats what tanking looks like.

Slothfield will be saying it's 1.6 million by the end of Monday.Like most people on here including myself it would all be guesswork on the pawwa forum with people making the most sensational claims to get attention.Very few would know what he has been offered and none of them would be spreading it on a forum

Why would it (a fan’s opinion) have anything to do with his teammates?
I mean I don’t think the blokes a 1/2 back, in my opinion he’s a running 5/8, but again unless he’s blackmailing the club over the 7 jersey, I don’t see the relevance in this crap.
Shouldn’t it be the club you hate?… Oh, hang on, that’d be weirder.

At that point the rest of the team knew their halfback was actively tanking so they all stopped trying

Let's not invent a new narrative. Sheens has said more than once publicly that he wants Brooks post 2023 on a restructured contract.

Until we see him perform with the new pack, we shouldn’t even be discussing extensions with him. Same goes for Doueihi and everyone else that’s off contract. No point extending him when he hasn’t even kicked a ball yet. If he really wants to stay he has to earn it like the rest, bloke has done nothing to deserve special treatment.

What rubbish....yes he had a bad game, like the rest of the team and based on your assessment there, he has made a mistake, but no one runs for 70m with 20pcm and 21 tackles in a NRL game and is tanking it, that is just ridiculous.
