Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Is this good enough though. Do any of those players demand a spot in a top team ? Is Doueihi really going to be a good centre ? He isn't the quickest guy.
He's looked good there when he's played. Plus, having him on the field gives us an ability to carry 4 forwards on the bench. Less need for a utility who can jump into the spine.

Good to see you out here bro haha,
he's quick and powerful. Will make a very decent half I truly believe.
Center talk is crazy, I think Kepaoa
And Nado will lock the sides down,
Maybe Tommy too depending on
how he comes back to full fitness

Maybe AD becomes our 14 ......if all the talk about Laurie playing / trialling at 6 is true

Why would that negate the need for a utility?

Normally the utility is there to predominantly play 9 and if Doueihi had to move from centre to cover an injury, who would play centre?

Long time lurker here, first time poster!

I believe the theory is that he's trying to make the club look bad, just in case a Sydney team is removed from the competition in the near future.

Though knowing rosy cheeks, it wouldn't surprise me if the reasons you mentioned are also a factor!
That was certainly my theory, though I should be clear that it's no more than that. Basically the whole thing started when the Sharks were in major financial strife so Rothfield decided to do what he could to manouevre another Sydney club ahead of Cronulla in the exit queue.

He's been badmouthing the Tigers ever since, though I think it became a vicious circle from there. He took violently against Marina Go, for one thing (this bit I know for a fact), which certainly further poisoned the relationship with the club.

To be honest, it's entirely possible that the conflicted old soak hasn't a clue where it all began himself. He's been phoning it in for years and I think he's largely on autopilot by this stage. How he survived the Eddie Hayson situation I still can't quite comprehend. https://www.crikey.com.au/2016/09/05/buzz-rothfield-rises-again/ in case anyone isn't familiar with this particular stain on News Corp's already ruined reputation.

OK , I am calling it , Moses won’t becoming for 2023 no matter what why it goes .
I am also calling it now he won’t be here in 2024 either , and I say this because it appears he is playing the 3 clubs ( eels , dogs and us) off against each other and once he gets the eels or the dogs to a certain amount he will go in that direction. Because if it is true we have offered him $1.4 million a season for 4 years and he hasn’t jumped on that then he isn’t coming out way .
Sheens it’s time to activate plan B
Just my thoughts , time to throw that money at another target
