The GOP actually caring who the speaker of the house is as the 3rd person inline for the Presidency and in control of the US purse strings during Biden's lame duck Presidency is a huge deal and quiet refreshing for politics. The newly elected House Speaker McCarthy, although a RINO was held with his feet to the fire to make concessions for the American people and not just allowed another run of the mill uni-party vote. Fantastic job by those GOP members that listened to their constituents and held off their vote until McCarthy agreed to concessions that their voters elected them for. Beautiful to see democracy at work. Strong unified GOP is desperately what the US needs more than ever.

The best concessions of all was to allow a vote of no confidence on the speaker of the house to just 1 member of the house. Truly held accountable. The other great concession was to put actual conservatives and GOP congress members and not RINOs on committee chairs. Cant wait to see these committees commence shortly and see some accountability for the American people. A long way from the farce that was the Pelosi Speakership.

First order of business for McCarthy day 1 as speaker was to repeal the Democrats passing a bill for 87,000 armed IRS agents. Some sanity and reduction in spending, amazing job by the GOP.

Well I bow to your broad knowledge Earl, I cant argue with well thought out and argued logic like that. Washington Post have had the laptop hard drive examined by forensic experts who found that the photos, videos and business emails are real and authentic and proven to be Hunter Bidens. The hard drive is now in the possession of the FBI. They could have saved alot of time and trouble by just asking you though I guess?

When did I comment on Clinton corruption? Are you sure you are not projecting an imagined bias?

Why would I look for other cases of corruption to think that this case is bad? Biden being possibly corrupt is only a bad thing and worth investigating if we find Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon corrupt first? You think they didnt investigate Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon for corruption? Why does it need to be bipartisan? Is corruption only a problem on one side of the aisle?

It is a proven lie and the Hunter Biden laptop photos and emails (since corroborated as true since the election and suppressed by the FBI) confirm this as a fact.

In the photos of the prominent Aus politicians with dodgy chinese businessmen, if those politicians had previously stated they had never met with them and then the photo came out, how many would keep there job in your opinion?

Corroborated by who exactly? It’s amazing that all these people are suppressing this supposedly smoking gun. Maybe they’re waiting for the second term…

Funny you bring up suppression because when the NY Post originally broke the story the Washington Post and Joe Biden declared it was Russian disinformation. The FBI actively contacted Meta and Twitter and told them to suppress the story because it was Russian misinformation.

I think she’s on the hook to pay back the advance, book or no book. Similarly if the book is a flop with bulk unsold copies being pulped. That’s the risk the publisher and author have to take.

He can always initiate defamation proceedings, and (non-expert opinion but I’ve followed a few high profile cases in Aus over the past few years) would have a reasonable case against some of the media outlets based on their reporting of the matter - particularly Channel 10.

The flip side is the defendants (whether Higgins directly or a broadcaster) choosing to mount a truth defence and their evidence being splashed over the nightly news during proceedings - Streisand effect etc.

Okay let’s run through this starting with the Post article:

The verifiable emails are a small fraction of 217 gigabytes of data provided to The Post on a portable hard drive by Republican activist Jack Maxey… The vast majority of the data — and most of the nearly 129,000 emails it contained — could not be verified by either of the two security experts who reviewed the data for The Post.

Soon after that period of inactivity — and months after the laptop itself had been taken into FBI custody — three new folders were created on the drive. Dated Sept. 1 and 2, 2020, they bore the names “Desktop Documents,” “Biden Burisma” and “Hunter. Burisma Documents.”

But where’s the evidence President Biden committed a crime?
