You would have to think chicken Kiev would be heavily based on Ukranian cuisine even if it is not 100% authentic (just guessing)
Just got in touch with my cuz Google who says it has a varied background and whilst you are partially correct it seems the Ruskys were also serving it named Chicken Crimea and there is another school of thought that it originated in France.
Really doesn’t matter coz it’s a great dish, wherever it comes from !

Well I just googled and found Borscht, a beet soup, is on many top 10 lists.
I never knew that. I love beetroot. I’ll have a go at that.

Yes, I do like a chicken Kiev. I imagine the cuisine is classified as European? If you asked an Australia to name a traditional Aussie dish it would more likely include lamb or seafood I’m guessing?

Odessa, what’s a go to traditional Ukraine dish?
Borscht ( Beetroot soup )
Vareniki ( dumplings )
Deruny (Potato pancakes)

It's all good but the Ukrainian people are crazy over sweets and cakes there is no other country that loves cake more then the Ukraine say in Australia you have a refrigerated aisle mite have many different types of food in the fridge yoghurt cheese milk cream and so on but in the Ukraine it would just be of cake fresh cake made daily and sold out daily it's just crazy
