Why doesn't the club engage organisations where the disabled could earn some money selling merchandise. It's not difficult work and some footy mad fans could earn while feeling like a part of the club.

Can’t wait…A whole new group of unpaid insiders will be joining the forum and givin us the goss
Those organisations aren't what they used to be mate,
They're based on paid employment these days as well.
Having a bit to do with numerous RTO's you come across them from time to time...
They do Yard Work, Cleaning - Some are involved in the NDIS etc.
It's a good idea though.
Realistically, I believe the whole vibe is aimed at School Leavers looking to get some experience in the Sports Marketing - Sports team industry...
Or a bit of work experience for the resume while they get their Qualifications.
I did a pre apprenticeship course out of School, It was no different - Monday to Thursday was in School, Fridays we were made to go out and find someone to give us a days work...
Same during School Holidays, We'd line up a couple weeks work, Both where the employer had no obligation to pay you...
I'd rather be kicking around at the footy than digging trenches in the sun I can promise you.
- as you said, It's not hard work....
That said, I believe kids in Similar School programs these days get paid something....
This to me is a clever initiative to
a) boost ground attendance numbers
b) to sell hats and scarves at maximum profit
Pascoe is a god damned genius.
I wonder how much behind the scenes stuff the kids will see whilst out the front of the stadium scooping up dogshit? Finally going to get those flags properly aligned on game day.
To be fair, it might still be more entertaining than what's happening on the field.I wonder how much behind the scenes stuff the kids will see whilst out the front of the stadium picking up dogshit?

Yeah but the game was amateur then. Guys were playing for match payments and had a day job, clubs probably didn't make the money they do now either and I'd wager didn't have grants either. Some people just be involved in the club they love. Free tickets and maybe meet some players. I think it's a good idea.
In the old days it was more common. My old mum used to fill sometimes in at the canteen at LO for free. It was a day out for her.
They are non-profit organisations providing a community service with tangible benefits to society. In general I like the Aussie spirt of Volunteering. Surf Lifesaving, SES, fire fighters, WIRES, meals on wheels ect. It’s good for the individual and the community at large.
I don't get the hate the club is receiving for offering this, if yiu wish to volunteer your time then so be it, not like you are being dragged in by force to do something you don't want to do
Those quotes are all from here.Hey Forumers, we made the "news" again
