Do you think of you win the grand final you get to play all games at home? If I was the coach I'd definitely take them to an away game to give them a dose of reality. Professional footy is hard work suck it up and get into it.

Why are we helping them out? They moved over here for two years. Kept this comp afloat while being away from family and home. We should be taking games over there all the time.
What rubbish, why are we the only team that is doing that????? No other team is taking games to NZ, only us. If everyone was doing it, fine. But the team that came last, come on!!! We need to get our ship in order, and as Sheens said in the interview, I don’t know why we are taking our home game to NZ.
Taking a bunch of kids with only what two or three first graders in it, is just plain stupid. Look at the scoreboard champ, worked real well. Now the team that came last is going into the season with absolutely no confidence and shell shocked. Glad your not running the team….

And on a positive note, I thought the referee handled the game very well tonight. She was clear, direct and on the ball.
Well done Belinda.
Now let’s see how Casey Stoner goes in her game. We may well have 2 ladies in the ranks this year.
Apologies, I meant Kasey Badger, i think that CStoner was a motorbike rider.
Anyway, you know who I mean.🤣

Our CEO chose the venue, but anything he does has no bearing on the on field performance.

I agree, she was okay & let the game
flow relatively well. I did notice she
miscounted the tackle count twice though
I was happy to see her letting the forward passes go and only pulling up the blatant ones, yes even the one which resulted in a Warriors try.

Yes he did but he had a good game for the majority of the match.
ALL the players need to put in 100% each match no matter whether it's a trial; or not, because a few players that put in 100% on the field all the time get sick of the ones that don't and that's why we end up with a heap of disgruntled players and that's why they want to leave or break their contracts, hopefully the next trial will be better because this is not a good start to the season, trial or not

That ref last night wasn't fully over the rules last night .. made up so of the rules on the go and it looked like she was playing ref's bingo .. ticket that rule off, yes .. ticket this rule off, yes .. bingo ..!! I thought the ref had a shocker, for the first game of the season very inconsistent ref the rulings, plus once she made a ruling (even though it was wrong) once she saw it on the big screen she realised her decision was wrong .. she didn't / wouldn't change her decision even after it was clearly wrong .. poor .. even as a ref you are allowed to change your decision if it is wrong. The technology is there to help ref's .. use it.

Good/strange to see so much more positive judgement of Seyfarth's performance in this thread.

Having been catching up on the live thread rather than watching the match, I got much more of the opposite opinion during the game. I expect that such was just the usual bias/prejudices playing out.

Seyfarth played well throughout the game. He has trimmed down, he's faster, mobile, he covers a lot of ground and his running his improved. He was pulled down inches from the try line after quite a long run in traffic.

Nah, disagree TM. She did ok imo.
Let’s not start the year nit picking.

Yes, I was calling for his head during pre season but was pleasantly surprised. He’s got a lot to play for having rejected Warriors and Uk, new baby coming etc.
Might get a second dig next week.
