Actually yes.
Sure Hynes was a gun fullback/utility. Yet that he would transform into a killer Halfback was a huge surprise. Honestly a risky move, and one that paid massive dividends for the Sharks.

The way you are thinking is off, a little. Having the next best thing is great, just have people around them so that they can develop and be the next best thing they can be.
RTS would be a great influence on Bula. Most definitely RTS can fit in anywhere in the backline and I don't think RTS will demand Fullback, just a fat paycheck.

For the price it would cost you want that player to own a position and contribute to winshares.

I think for the price tag he would want playing RTS as a center or winger would be a waste of cash. It’s fullback or nothing from my view.

I seriously believe Bellamy sunk Melbournes 2021 title defence by replacing Hynes with Paps when he came back from injury. Melbourne were setting point scoring records with Hynes at 1

Tupou, Scolari, Hill, Bula, and anyone else has to start in reserves and play well enough to take the position of Ken. All of them will benefit from a stint in reserves to work on their game.
