There are no other options for opening batsmen.
Starc is mildly injured and the only advantage would be making footmarks outside the R/H bat's off stump (which also come into play for the Indian spinners against our right-handers). Hazelwood and Green both still too injured to return. I'd consider Kuhnemann but then who do you leave out? Lyon is the incumbent #1 choice and Murphy took a bag of wickets on debut.

Handscomb was one of only 3 that looked competent out there. Renners looked awful along with nearly everyone else.
I suppose the other option is drop Boland and play Lyon/Murphy/Kuhnemann with Cummins being the only pace option (hopefully bowling a lot better than in the first test).

I am reading Green and Starc both should be ok to play, which is why I picked them.
If fit they must come in, Handscomb played to survive, at no stage did he try and take the attack to the Indians and Renners, as you call him, imo was a bad selection and is an ordinary player, although I will grant you I always thought he is an opener( his laughing in the dugout has not gone over well for someone who flopped in both innnings) maybe he should have been filmed in the nets !

Like we need to add another front line bowler ..but the batting won't add up .....maybe that is teh chance we take ...hopefully roll them twice for less than they can roll us for

They specifically asked for it to be left alone so they could train out there given the match finished over 2 days early, I don't believe it was an accident.

I dunno ...shouldn't we be getting our butts over to Delhi to see if the pitch is going to be similar to Nagpur .....you imagine it will .......but look at Australian conditions ...you can go from Brisbane to Perth to Melbourne to Adelaide to Sydney ...nothing is really similar
