I mentioned the horrific injury toll and used it as the basis of an argument that letting players out of contracts early and loaning others to competitors left us with only the remnants of a first grade side by the end of the year, when coincidently we fell in a heap and came last by 2 wins.

I’m not finding scapegoat, I was responding to a statement made by another poster early.
 
Mitch's decision has very little to do
with Brooks being there I think. It's a
nice media story though.. I think people
are putting too much stock in that tbh.
His future and contract isn't contingent
on Brooks, thats just a nice feel good
story. Business is business at the end
of the day, it would be nice if they could
play together again but isn't a guarantee

I would rather Laurie at fullback, I think he was okay in a horrible team last year, he definitely has a huge ceiling and I think he’s gunna have a good year for us this year, he’s got some competition brought in to lift his game. I really think he’s shown enough to be optimistic of him, he’s still young and if he was in a top team with a great pack he’d have a lot more room to work in returning the ball and also in attack, hopefully our new forward pack can lay that platform for him to play off the cuff that suits him
