Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Staines is only signed up for this year and Laurie at this stage has not been offered a new deal to my knowledge.
it was in the news DL was offered a 1 year extension but wanted more years.
interesting times in regards to the race for #1 jersey in 2024

With Bula many don't realise he came to Keebra Park as a basketball player. His transition to rugby league has been remarkable and the debut in the NRL an indication of his talent. I believe he has a very high ceiling and am thankful he will debut under the new coaching team.
pretty sure you have said that before paws. so we are probably all aware

According to whom?
Suaali was a standout in every team he played in. Bula didn't even stand out in a very poor Flegg side last year

Thought he only started playing league in 2019, which basically would mean he has had what 20-30 games max in rugby league teams in his life career given Covid delays.

To even be in the frame training with the NRL squad and holding his own already is bloody impressive & very very rare.

He clearly is showing something around his growth and training rate in the game.

No, hes played rugby league his whole life. He went to Keebra on a rugby league scholarship, just played in the basketball team also. Was signed by Titans in 2019.

Paws we can all say what we want about Sheens. One thing we all have to acknowledge, is time and again Sheens has proven he can find great fullbacks

Umm, sorry, but who do you have in mind?

Off the top of my head in his first tenure:
Hodgson

Light years...

McDonnell
Moltzen
... That's all I've got. I'm sure Fitzhenry played there (draw a number of out a hat and it's likely Fitz played there. Come to think of it, maybe that was how he was selected each week!).

Found Tedesco, Belcher, Mullins, Bowen. There would be a fair few more aswell

Reckon you have it back to front…
We went on a run of 7 in a row at the back end of 09 when he was in the halves…
That time is basically his career highlights package.
Did his knees in early 2010, filled in for McKinnon there at the back end of 11, played 2012 there mostly with no results….
He was horrible at fullback, almost running backwards to give the ball to someone else to be tackled…
I remember eh.

Lots of dropped bombs because he looked terrified of the contact.

Always thought he was better in the halves.

Will never forget those long passes.
