We’ve atleast saved the money and can look at alternative options.

So many good things happening with the club and the grades at the moment.

This enables us to reinvest and retain or purchase from outside for key positions if required.

I'm almost certain he never had any intention of ever signing with us. He has used this club for his own selfish purposes for the last time. Just wished we were smart enough to have pulled out of the race earlier and I couldn't I've a crap if we made parra pay more. I would have rathered Moses to earn less money

I think we just wait and listen to what Sheens has planned...He has set a five year plan because we are a development club,if you hear and see what he is doing he has some very,very talented youth coming through and I think a fella by the name of Large is the clubs future...fittingly he will be ready for the NRL during Benjis tenure as coach,maybe in the latter part of his tenure..we dont really need to spend huge money on a halfback atm while we work on Brooks and AD combination,as many have said why try and fit 3 players into 2 positions...lets see how 2023 turns out,Im keen as to see the improvements we are expecting.....

Don’t know about that but what I do know is I should pay closer attention to what THE_POM is actually saying. Since his name came up, I’d just like to thank him for his valued input. Think about it?

I posted this on other forum so apologies that I’m repeating myself but same relevant to this topic.

Agree that apart from Api at hooker we have short term issues to address with our spine and definite lack of star quality at fullback and half position.

However paying Moses well overs at $1.3M, $1.4M or suggested $1.5M is not the answer. Firstly you need to try and remember the fact that he has serious flaws in his game ….. and when things get tough he goes missing. I agree that his game has improved under Arthur coaching both in attack and more importantly in defence where he was turnstile in past years ……. but let’s face it he is no Cleary, Haynes, Munster, Hughes, Dale Cherry Evens, Reynolds and even Hunt.

He is also 28 so no spring chicken, free of major injuries to date and both those things don’t argue well for the future unless you rely on luck alone. What I’m getting at I suppose is to say that although I dislike the guy with a passion he would have been a nice pickup at-a reasonable $900-$1M for about 3 years with perhaps some incentives and TPAs built in the deal. But that’s it ….. we have some promising juniors on line in about 3-4 years and money available for some emerging star signings over next two seasons. Players who come out of nowhere like Reuben Cotter, Jeremiah Nanai, Sam Walker, Joseph Suaalii, Selwyn Cobbo etc

We are in a middle of a rebuild with some key components already in place and other local emerging talent in evidence. That’s a positive and having savvy well credentialed coaching and recruitment people actively in player market with a stack of poker chips available is a definite positive for me rather than crying over some spilled milk recruitment episode.

Excellent points, too much money for a princess who could break down at any time. His defence is still suspect and there will be better options to spend cash on moving forward.

I am more than happy he has reportedly castrated Pawwa's salary cap for the next 4 years.I would not be surprised if he has another spoon to add to his collection by the time he stops playing.He is the perfect bottom feeder and is at the right club
