John Bateman #268

I’m struggling to see where Joe O fits into the 17 baring injuries.
He was one of our best last year.

He is much better than Twal. Twal is good but his spot is under pressure. Seyfarth gets a lot of hate but I rate him as pretty close to Twal and a better prospect longer term.

That because Twal has no power, he's one of the softest runners of the football in the history of the NRL.

He gets metres and he makes his tackles. He is a real good worker. The thing is he doesn't make an impact and therefore I figure you have him starting and playing 60 minutes but we have Klemmer and Joe O who are going to do the same thing. You need say 240 minutes from middle forwards in total. Klemmer and Joe O take 120 minutes, Pole and Stef take 80 minutes. That leaves 40 minutes for Twal.

Twal is a starter who plays long minutes and enables impact forwards to come on and bash and barge but he isn't good enough to push out Klemmer or Joe O.

I think your man misses out if we're fit mate....

I don't but it's close.

8. David Klemmer
9. Api Koroisau
10. Alex Twal
11. Sean Blore
12. Isiah Papalli
13. Joe Ofahengaue

14. Stefano Utoikamanu
15. Fonua Pole
16. John Bateman
17. Jake Simpkin

If you have a utility on the bench or if we have a middle forward who can give 20 minutes of bash and barge he loses his spot.

He is a decent player. It's more about what the team requires.
