I’m over Moses. Let Parra have him. He’s good. But he’s not that good.

can we stop talking about himI’m over Moses. Let Parra have him. He’s good. But he’s not that good.
It is all moot! Thanks for the measured response. I understand where you are coming from, but I'm a believer in halves being at their best between 28-32. They still have the athletic abilities but more than anything they know the game better than they ever have. Its that perfect crossover time between ability and knowledge before the age interferes with ability.
As for the terms........who knows. It was reported one day to be 1.3 mill, two days later in the same paper 1.4. It's not really dissimilar to Brooks, who has been spoken about being well over 1 million this year by the same rag for a long time, only for them (today or yesterday) to say we are one of the few clubs without a player on a million dollar contract. One can only assume they guess, just like we do here.
Laurie would make a good hooker???Yep he could make a good hooker but I don't mind Simpkins learning from Api and as backup , he could be a good utility that way I guess
Huh??Nah,
Off last year Daine Laurie is one of the few players who found some form.
Yes he is NOT a fullback, he is 100% not a wing as he is too short.
He will have to move positions, but he has definitely lived up as a player.
Don't think him being asked by the former coach to use his body as a battering ram at the start of sets last year would have helped, poor guy would have been so far down on confidence after last season it wouldn't be funny.Think it's worth mentioning that in his debut season Laurie was pretty good with kick defusals.
I did previously share an article from fox which showed his 2021 stats, they were actually up there with the top fullbacks in a few areas.
The following was from May 2021 but I do know I've seen that it was ongoing until he broke his leg.
So IMO clearly he regressed whether it was from the team's form or his own lack of confidence, from coming back from injury.
Going by the trial, Simkins game has improved immensely. Don't be surprised if Api ends up in the halves, which he has played before, and Simkin is the hooker. It's a long shot, but with injuries this could happen. Or even Simkin in the halves, another long shot.Yep he could make a good hooker but I don't mind Simpkins learning from Api and as backup , he could be a good utility that way I guess
Need to keep him away from Melbourne eyes he is exactly what they look for , solid young player coming through , Fonua is a long term keeper , let’s sign his brother asap.Fonua Pole is at the game watching Storm vs Sharks, some junior game - supporting his brother.
Sign him up I say 📝
Is he any good or are we suggesting this based purely on Fonua's game?Need to keep him away from Melbourne eyes he is exactly what they look for , solid young player coming through , Fonua is a long term keeper , let’s sign his brother asap.
Its a stark reminder why we prefer not to deal with Isaac Moses wherever possibleMitch milking the cow dry haha
The Bludge Brothers?looks like pengai and kickau are bludging at canterbury
I watched trial again.simpkins has gotten alot bigger.he wasn't afraid of tackling the bigger forwards front on.he got through a mountain of defence.just his service gets a bit sloppy at timesGoing by the trial, Simkins game has improved immensely. I didn't see much from Simpkins and no way to moving potentially the best hooker in the game out of his position, absolutely ludicrous.Going by the trial, Simkins game has improved immensely. Good halves have good serviceI didn't see much from Simpkins and no way to moving potentially the best hooker in the game out of his position, absolutely ludicrous.
Sorry, just don't like that at all, especially when hooker is just as important as halfback these days, so why bother?
That would be interesting, prefer he plays his strongest position but yep good to have the option if injuries come onGoing by the trial, Simkins game has improved immensely. The injuries to halves are not uncommon. I would hate to move Api, i'm a huge fan, but i think he could fill in if injuries happen ,and be just as effective. Simkin i think could handle hooker,he is much improved, and our replacement halves have not as yet set the world on fire. As i said it is a long shot, but could be on the cards in the event of injury.I didn't see much from Simpkins and no way to moving potentially the best hooker in the game out of his position, absolutely ludicrous.
