Drama At Wests Tigers

@Pascoes_barber - he is definitely the chairman because he puts a tonne of money in.

In all seriousness I think the board members could be changed. Its the structure that couldn't be changed. I mean that Wests Ashfield to my understanding has the rights for the most seats and they could always put forward a different person to represent them.

The thing is I need details about what Pascoe, Lee etc could and should do to improve the team that they haven't done and have been able too. It's hard to critique these guys without knowledge of the operation of the club. Pascoe could be a complete numpty but I can't tell that from his hair and media presence. I'm ignorant of the day to day management of the club. The truth is the vast majority of us are ignorant on this topic.

I get that we suck. We've sucked for years. We were two clubs that sucked most of the time. It's not like the current admin are performing any worse than how we have in the past.

Hopefully we start turning it around for a while.

Football club, not leagues club. You'll get it eventually.
I don't think they will get it - some people on here just go off and come up with their own scenarios without even knowing what really happened. Who knows what happened - the article says it was a conversation between Pascoe and Cavanagh - according to the article Hagi wasn't even involved in the discussion yet suddenly he claims there were sponsors involved as well. So maybe Justin got his nose out of joint when he didn't get the answer he wanted to his stupid question and runs crying to Lee. Its as good a scenario as some of the other crap being sprouted on here.

Piss him off ASAP. Gallagher is
available to do his PR if he likes

This excerpt is crazy haha. The
funniest part is he snictchd on
himself by going to the media:

"This column has the letter of complaint written by Hagipantelis tearing strips off Cavanagh. The letter to the Wests club says in part: “Mr Cavanagh’s conduct was reprehensible. In his capacity as Chair of Wests Magpies, he has not only embarrassed himself, but also your Club. More importantly from my perspective, and what is of particular concern to my Board, is that said conduct occurred in the presence of, and in fact engaged, sponsors of Wests Tigers. It has been now necessary for me to proffer a formal apology on behalf of Wests Tigers to Mr Fabry and to the other Sponsor with whom I spoke, for Mr Cavanagh’s misconduct.
“What is most galling is the arrogant presumption of Mr Cavanagh that he is in any position to level criticism of the Wests Tigers. To my understanding, confirmed by my discussions with our CEO, Mr Justin Pascoe, Mr Cavanagh has had absolutely no involvement in our Club’s operational matters ... In those circumstances, Mr Cavanagh has no foundation, let alone any entitlement, to criticise our CEO, Mr Justin Pascoe, the culture of our organisation and the manner in which it is operated or make any comment with respect to staff.
“... This is not the first occasion Mr Cavanagh has embarrassed himself by engaging in vitriol and criticism, in a public setting, of the Wests Tigers. The conduct being the subject of this complaint should therefore not be construed as a one-off but, somewhat disturbingly, a pattern of conduct.
“It is the view of the Wests Tigers Board that Mr Cavanagh is not a fit and proper person to fill the role of Chairman of Wests Magpies, or indeed, hold a membership.”
Really - i see it as showing Hagipantellis as the arrogant hypocrite that he is - he has no authority whatsoever to tell Wests what they should do with their chairman yet he bags Cavanagh for having no right to comment on the poor management of WT.

Any idea how the disciplinary action would work?
He will go before the board of Wests Magpies ( WSDRLFC ) to plead his case - - the board consists of 4 directors appointed by Wests Ashfield and 3 directors that are voted in by Wests Football club members. One of those directors is Cavanagh. The Wests Ashfield directors will side with inspector gadget and the 2 Wests directors will probably say it was wrong but not worth sacking over - he will be kicked out with a vote of 4-2.

With no dog in this fight I can say they are both in the wrong.
Cavanagh for unprofessional carryon in public and amaturish conduct for his position.
Lee though…what an over-reaction and petulant response to criticism, especially criticism of arrogance. How thin skinned is this guy? Wouldn’t want such an emotion driven individual representing me in court.

Exactly - Cavanagh will be sacked but in reality he should get a reprimand and final warning. As for the other 2 it really shows what is wrong with this club.

For all those scratching their heads to come up with what Inspector gadget and his offshoot JP could have done differently to improve the club need to look no further than the home ground fiasco that becomes a bigger laughing stock in the NRL each year.
Yes for sure.
They have had many years to sort this out. We seem to be gaining home venues…

Yuck

You could say that about Pascoe but not about Lee. He doesn't have a job like that. He is the chairman and he puts a tonne of money in. That job of Lee's is a massive loss making venture.

Yep not many people putting their hands up for that job

He's not responding to the Criticism so much as responding to a Lower affiliated Club Official...
1 - Making a cock of himself
2 - Taking a senior club official to task
2a - At an Official Club Function
2b - In front of Official corporate partners.

This is a closed case....
Take your personal feelings out of this, And apply the situation to whatever it is you do for money....
What's the outcome.

It's like the Bunnings bloke on the BBQ at a mornign toolbox meeting standing around taking the
piss out of Bunnings and their suppliers in front of the Suppliers and the Customers....

It's unimaginable....
The only way it happens - Is if the Idiot was full of piss....
I don’t have personal feelings on this. I agree with the majority of what Cavanagh said but said the way he went about it was unprofessional and amaturish. Lees response was drowning in arrogant butthurt.

Most of the other staff at Western Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club look like good people.

He exists in a corporate world
- Their language and the way they do things doesn't resonate with the common folk...
Especially the part of the corporate world he inhabits....
The common folk?
Mate I’ve been corporate earlier in my career. There nothing more common than those who park themselves on boards.
His response was embarrassing. You use corporate speak without the emotion. It’s the professional way to get your view out there, leaving little manoeuvring for the other party to attain the upper hand…especially if there is a chance the “common folk” may intercept it.

Really....
I heard commentators praising the Tigers for taking a home game to NZ last weekend...
I've also heard many times (From people that actually matter in the game) that more games should get taken to the bush.....
So out of the 12 Home games we get, You can take 2 out of your calculation.
Magic Round is cumpulsary and set by the governing body, You're down to 9
3 Games at Cambo and Leichhardt each (Surely that's a given?)
You're at 3.
The Parra Game is ours this year, No other Stadium is big enough to house it (Isn't at Parras home)
Keeping up on the math? - 2

We taking 2 games to Commbank for the cash - 1 of those is against the Dolphins....
The other against the Sharks...
Whoever is saying whatever you're claiming they're saying - Is doing it over 1 game....
Possibly 2.... If that's all yourself and they've got to do with the day... It's would be a terrible shame.
Horseshit. Magic round isn't a compulsory home ground. We put our name up for it to be a home game to grab the cash. We choose to take games to the country and NZ games. Our choice.
Playing home games at 4 grounds in the same city is idiotic.
It's all our choice.
