To be fair and I hate the slimmmy eels , the eels lost more than the storm to be fair , so ur argument doesn’t hold waterStorm love a dog fight and win most of them.
Parra are a momentum team who need things to be fast paced.
Storm did an excellent job I thought on slowing the game down and playing to their strengths whilst making Parra go away from their game plan.
Another thing to keep in mind is the Storm lost Brom Bros, Kaufusi, Olam, Papz, Smith (left/injury). For them to even be matching it with the Eels and as the game went on look more likely isn’t a bad start for them. Was a typical Storm performance for mind.
What are you on about, I am glad he spoke out, I wish more players wouldAnd please tell us why he should have kept his mouth shut .
They haven't had any of my money for 3 years and they won't until they put together a competitive footy team. I don't care if the club has a squillion sponsors and have a bank balance that would turn Manchester United green with envy. Put together a team that will play finals as regularly as the Roosters, Storm, Panthers etc. and I will dig into my Funeral Fund savings. Sadly someone injected a black, gold and white vaccine into my blood when the joint venture formed, and whilst I am forever grateful for 2005 a number of Australian Prime Ministers have come and gone since that amazing day. Sign Benny's nephew, and chase Roger the dodger from NZ RUGBY just for a start, and then we might see the joint ventures membership increase to the levels of the wascally wabbits?I'm the same Gallagher, I ended my membership. Way I figure is if I was running a business I wouldn't pay the salary of incompetent staff, so why should the Tigers board / management be any different. If they want my money I need to see some form of success.

50% of the minimum wage.😂Undoubtedly on "minimum" wage
Reminded me a lot of our Round 1 game last year.Storm showed how they're still a top 4 side. If we lost half our starting roster we'd lose every week!!
Honestly I just wanted them to play as hard as us poor lot have to work to get our hands on the money that they want us to give them. If we reward incompetence the stink in the joint will stay forever. They haven't had any of my money for 3 years and they won't until they put together a competitive footy team. We didn't need to lose half of our starting roster to lose every week.If we lost half our starting roster we'd lose every week!!
You know years and years ago I invented the term "the Koutafides effect".I agree with your point regarding age but 4-5 years is a long time to get stuck with a relatively over paid, underperforming player. It completely unbalances the cap and the team.
Look at cherry evans at manly. He’s had like 2 great seasons out of 10 on a million a year.
Sounds like the antithesis to the buddy franklin effect? You know years and years ago I invented the term "the Koutafides effect".
*Obviously didn't catch on because no one has ever heard of it but me... But I digress. Again.
This effect occurs when a club invests so much money in one player that it leaves them dangerously dependent on that player being fit and delivering value for money because there is so little cap space left for a more balanced squad.
What happened was Carlton gave Anthony Koutafides a massive contract and thereafter he was on the sidelines more often than on the field.
It seriously screwed them for years, and as per the DCE example (turbo is in danger too, ash Taylor... all Cleary's signings! You get the drift) if the risk doesn't pay off you've made a very poor move giving such a lengthy contract.
No way do I want Moses back, but I do understand clubs taking these D Fifita type risks.
You also run the risk of getting the rest of your roster off side. Every now and than a player comes along that you might risk it but Moses is not that playerYou know years and years ago I invented the term "the Koutafides effect".

Yeh definitely. Taumololo I think has been worth it too.Sounds like the antithesis to the buddy franklin effect?
Not saying moses is anything like buddy, but he showed it can work.
Completely agree. You also run the risk of getting the rest of your roster off side. Every now and than a player comes along that you might risk it but Moses is not that player
I'm kinda hoping Newcastle dont go well this year so we dont get hammered for letting him go.Tigers gonna miss Hastings. He’s class.
Start pile on.

You're right mate. Good on the Warriors. Sean Johnson is soooo hit and miss tho... more miss... they win because of CNK... geeze he played well.He doesn't look it so far. It's a long season and it was only one half so you are going off too early but I wouldn't be surprised if you have it right.
Hastings is as slow as a wet week. You're right mate. Good on the Warriors. Sean Johnson is soooo hit and miss tho... more miss... they win because of CNK... geeze he played well.
Agreed on Hastings. Looked slow. Hope I eat my words haha. Really hope we were right about letting him walk. Early in the season though. Ane Newy just have no discipline.
Agreed on Hastings
