Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I am expecting Moses at the tigers next year.
Yeh, that wouldn’t surprise me, not expecting it though. I remember THE_POM posting after we had been chasing that the club were trying to get him for 23. This may have given the impression that he was penciled in for 24?
It will be interesting to see how this unfolds so that we can finally dissect and analyse it chronologically? 😜

When you look at their age they are a good 4-5yrs away from cracking it let alone being top flight within the NRL. Alot can happen to kids over that time and have seen more top prospects disappear than make it. Body changes, injuries, interests, dedication, Drugs/Alcohol/party/groups, life and other players always pop up.

Logic around getting Moses would be more a go strong in Benjis early years and mentor mode if he came.
Good point. Very few star players at SG ball make it to elite level in the NRL.

We should be developing as many juniors as we can, but you don’t bank on them and let it impact your decisions on signing proven class players.

At 29 all good at 750k for 5 years. At 1-4 mill you would expect that's what you are paying for wouldn't you
Yeh, although I hate saying it he would improve us and be our best half, but he is nowhere near the best. Seriously, if Joey Johns was still playing this contract is the type of deal he would get.

That could also be Benji and Sheens if the season doesnt go well.
Could you imagine Moses and Nofo in the same team ?

"That's your fault !!"
"No, it's your fault !"
Don’t think either of them would have the you know what’s to even even confront each other, simply slip the knife into the back, or badmouth rumours to all and sundry.
Anyway, not worth worrying about at this stage, although I have been thinking if we kept JH what it would have been like with him and JB on the bench !!

Which is exactly the Roosters philosophy. Let other clubs develop the juniors and we will cherry pick them when they have proven themselves. Don’t like that philosophy as clubs have an obligation to develop the game. It works for the Roosters though, but I still don’t like it.

pretty simple,
Easy when you have cody Walker latrell cam Murray Cook all in the side as a 7 they give plenty of options

People talking up Ilias everywhere as
if he were the 2nd coming. He had a
very average year in '22 with weapons
all around him. One good game to start
the season. Not saying he could go
good, but one good game to start '23
means diddly squat in the RL world

Got a full season behind him and played finals. That was a tough game, against quality opposition and he stood up in all areas. I think it's fair to say he is developing nicely.

No one in the media has him coming to us or even contemplating us. Not saying they are right, but you would think that if we were in the mix there would be some voices out there saying so.

So what is mitch waiting for??? Loves the media talking about him??? Is he waiting to watch the tiger's game today if any improvement??? If he gets a major injury I doubt that amount would still be available???
