Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

People talking up Ilias everywhere as
if he were the 2nd coming. He had a
very average year in '22 with weapons
all around him. One good game to start
the season. Not saying he could go
good, but one good game to start '23
means diddly squat in the RL world
Got a full season behind him and played finals. That was a tough game, against quality opposition and he stood up in all areas. I think it's fair to say he is developing nicely.

No one in the media has him coming to us or even contemplating us. Not saying they are right, but you would think that if we were in the mix there would be some voices out there saying so.

So what is mitch waiting for??? Loves the media talking about him??? Is he waiting to watch the tiger's game today if any improvement??? If he gets a major injury I doubt that amount would still be available???

I wonder the money being offered to Moses is affecting Brown. Brown has just been told he's the number 2.

Moses is a flat track bully. Great when he's not under the pump but when he needs to use his mind and grind a win out he's a no show. No where near 1.5 mill.
Only halves I would give that to are Cherry-evans, Cleary and Munster. What Munster did the other night is what we need at our club. Grit, determination and win at all cost attitude. That guy is legendary.

If Sheensy and Benji watched Parra play on Thursday night,
And I am sure they did,

Both I think would be very happy about not going heavy to get Brown from parra dont think he did anything.

And Moses did not add up to 1'4 million.
Look at someone worth having. Who can be with our team for his whole career.

It's Mitchell Moses, so this is my guess!

Had a bit of a chat about the best 7s in the NRL and (begrudgingly!) I rated MM at 5. I still wouldn't sign him though.

After him I think it starts getting pretty bare and wonder if there are young guys coming through?

Completely agree a career long half (a GOOD one this time!) would be the best option, but I have no idea about who's got potential, a possibility, etc.

Was thinking the other day and hope someone more knowledgeable can offer their opinion:
Can you manufacture a 7? And if so, who would you?

FWIW, my top 7 7s:

Sorry, only just saw.
Which 7?

1. Cleary by a mile
2. Hynes
3. Reynolds
4. Hunt
5. Moses
6. Townsend
7. DCE

The no. 9 is so important in rugby league. What I saw on Thursday night was poor service from Hodgson for most of the game. Moses constantly catching the ball in unfavourable positions. He was spoiled with Reed Mahoney for the past few years. Good service won't make you a good 7 but bad service can certainly make you look bad.

A good assesment because a great hooker gives his halves the time to do something with the ball a slow or poor hooker will take time off the options halves have and make them look poor

You don't rate Hughes?

I would put DCE at no 2
