Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Pretty sure Kent has mates that are Tigers fans. Reckon he gives it to us to stir up his mates

Kent turned when Madge got sacked. I spoke to him while Maguire was coach and at that time he was as supportive of us as could be considering how bad we were. At the time he was trying to counter Crawley and Buzz as much as possible but as soon as Madge went he became the leader of the attacks.

His attitude was so bad on 360 last year that he accepted he is one the most hated guys in the game and is now deliberately trying to get under everyone's skin. He needs to be sacked IMO.

Magpies SG Ball centre Solo Saukuru looks to be re-signing with the club. Close watchers of the SG Ball comp, how good is this guy?View attachment 4687
Barnstorming centre, big and powerful with decent pace. Played fullback, centre, second row and prop for Westfield SHS. Lots of potential, but does he have the work ethic and desire to make it to the NRL? He's a much better prospect than Lomi who's a solid junior prop and not much else.

“Canterbury have questioned the value of supporting a player following their career after being denied a request to take all of Jackson’s deal out of their salary cap.”

So basically the dogs admit they only gave him a job so they could get cap relief 😅
The job I imagine Jackson is doing, I bet he would be doing it anyway if he was a part of the top 30. That would be a part of the NRL's argument. He's not medically retired which means he is technically capable of fulfilling his top 30 obligations.

Some people forget that there is a third party involved in contracts other than the player and club: the NRL. If you have a contract for 2023, the NRL are also invested in you playing, or contributing in some way. That could be through media commitments, or being a player in lower grades.
