I have to say that I did get absolutely hammered by supporting Madge and Hastings last year,yes it was a bad year with injuries and suspensions,however I said that what Madge was implementing by having the 5 hit ups and a bomb was to teach the team a defensive pattern when under pressure,the keyboard coaches bagged me relentlessly for sticking up for that process,Hastings when on the field for us did yell and scream at the players,he has footy smarts that Luke is lacking in...this brings me to the Dolphins under an old coach,the 5 hit ups and a bomb was used on many occasions and it got them the win,however I was told we need the flamboyant style SHEENS USED IN 2005....HELLO ITS 18 YEARS ON and that style has got us 2 losses in a row...
ALL I will say is wake up and smell the roses it isnt as easy as you guys think...
Hard work,respect for each other,being on the same page during the game and having a true leader out there is what wins you the games,each player has a job to do,if they cant do that job they are paid to do MOVE THEM ON....and that includes poor coaches...

They look like they're scared and it's very ineffective.

Sheens has not faced up to the facts about his coaching being a problem and that has been the case for many years.He always looks for scapegoats and i doubt that will ever change.
 
"Had nothing to do with our halfback" clearly someone who knows nothing about what the positions are meant to do the halfback role is meant for them to STEER THE TEAM AROUND THE FIELD he is meant to be the leading force in attack he isn't a 7 he's a 6 he isn't a leader he isn't vocal he is passive at halfback you need someone who is loud vocal and lead the team around the park that is not brooks Api can't do it all himself

I will tell you what it had to do with today....THE OLD BOYS CLUB GLORY DAYS... simple as that,if people think that Benji,Farah and Sheens are the answer to getting us in the finals they are sadly mistaken...
Benjis brilliance as a 5/8 or 7 whatever and skills DOESNT equate to coaching ability or prowess,many great players have failed at NRL level as coaches same for Farah...
Sheens was a great NRL coach,but hasnt coached in NRL for 10 years,dont forget he was sacked from other clubs since the 2005 GF win...
All in all this club needs to scrap the old favourites attitude,get professional coaches in NOT TIED TO THE CLUB and really do some work on the roster to make it competative,not a pension fund for local juniors who EXPECT employment because they want to be loyal...

You will not get a more disadvantaged and undermanned side than what happened to the Knights today, and we could only manage 12 points. And Knights aren't even a good side when fully-manned.

Horrendous.

They weren't even good tries either they were shitty lucked-in scores.
 
No team cohesion what so ever. Brooks and AD both play like individuals and give the team no direction then throw a pass when players don't have clue if it's on or not. No wonder the play breaks down around them so much.Pretty sure IPap was moved to other side away from Brooks after half time. They maybe skillful but they have both been acutely responsible for us not being able to win our first two games.
 
How fantastic to see young tumeth out there. A star of the future, a single beacon of light for this much maligned club!!! We can go to bed tonight knowing that our future is in safe hands. Well done Timmy Sheens!
