Brooks??!
Brooks is statistically in the top 3 the worst defensive player in the comp. Misses a ridiculous amount of tackles every match. His front on defence has improved, and he no longer gets bumped off every time but he's still an absolutely horrendous defender and would be the worst centre in the comp, by a long way.

Fullback is his only other option.
At another club.

used to be, his defence improved out of sight under cleary, I don't think he's creative enough to be a fullback. I only say left centre because that's his natural side of the pitch and he has speed. If he wasn't taking up a mill of our cap I'd say he'd be the halfback of the Campbelltown centrelink team.

Api is still nursing an injury .. hence why he didn’t play in the trials.

I expect Bateman on the bench instead of Tumeth. Wakeman on the bench .. in as back number 9 and if Brooks sucks again .. back up number 7 .. !!

Brooks had the perfect opportunity on the weekend to step up and lead us to victory in last 15 mins of that game when they were down a man .. but NO his poor judgement and his ability to read the game lead him to do the complete opposite of what we should have done .. not even a footballers boot lace at the moment .. he needs time down in the lower grade to rediscover himself and game .. !!

Dead set, we’ve chosen Tumeth over this bloke .. Kautoga

Fair dinkum, please tell me this is a G-up .. ?? Kit Kautoga is a fair better prospect than Brandon Tumeth .. we cant have Tumeth in the same side with Seyfarth .. both players give the side nothing .. no spark .. in both attack or defence .. !! so we stick with Tumeth and Kautoga goes else where .. !! damn damn damn .. !!

OK I've seen two games with Brooks behind this pack .. and that is two games too many with Brooks inept ability to lead a side around the paddock .. I'm now convinced that we have to look at someone else at 7 to lead this side around .. Brooks just cannot do it .. i'm pretty sure that he doesn't have that killer attitude / spark in him to be a top line half back.

If the Tigers are getting themselves out of this horrible rut .. we need to do a big overhaul of this side starting with the number 7 .. and fast .. !!

We play the Bulldogs need weekend .. and if we play like we did yesterday .. they are going to towel us up big time .. !!
how late to realise this

They bought 3 or 4 big names this season. What's our point? * Roosters omitted. Maybe its not on the field. Maybe the cancer is elsewhere. I dont know! Just throwing it out there.

To be honest it was much worse on sunday. It has been over a decade since we had a team as good as we have now.Potter JT Cleary Madge and even Kimmorley would have loved to have had a roster this strong
JT had a better 5/8 and had tedesco and farah. That team's spine is not worse than our current spine. I'd argue our current spine bar Api, is the worst we've had in a long time. Our 1 6 and 7 are not good in their positions.

He's not worse than Douehei.

You make a good point. Even if things remained the same in terms of Tigers ownership and board structure we have one of the wealthiest supporter groups. I'm not just talking about Harry but other very wealthy supporters who are tiger mad. Yet we cannot seem to compete in the field of 3rd party agreements for contract top ups. The Storm, Broncs, Roosters and Eels have it down perfectly, there seems to be some form of disconnect at the Tigers, I'm assuming for Harry it's because of feeling betrayed over the Balmain leagues development, but the club need to start to look into and rectifying the issues that hold our wealthiest supporters from backing the club either financially or in player future endeavours.
Uncle Harry said it himself, on record - he said he was happy to sponsor the club and support them annually in whatever way they wanted to spend the money he provided.

But if they wanted him to get serious with investment, he was going to run the whole shebang his own way. And Wests Ashfield politely said "no thanks".

It is true however that if Hastings was playing for us we'd be 2-0.

The lack of someone shouting and organising people is the primary reason we've lost both games. Everyone walking around looking confused and uncertain, it's pathetic and embarrassing. Every player should know their job, whether they're good enough to execute it under pressure may be another matter, but they should know what their duty is and be doing everything they can to achieve that every set!
No it's not true, it's an unprovable thought experiment. Rather it may be your opinion that you think we could have won, but there's nothing true about it at all.

EELS STAR COULD BE SQUEEZED OUT - Waqa Blake

The Parramatta Eels face losing another grand final star with reports Waqa Blake could be squeezed out due to salary cap constraints.

Wide World of Sports reports a new deal for Mitchell Moses, who has been offered four years at $1.1 million a season, would mean little room to re-sign Blake. It comes after the Eels also locked down half Dylan Brown on a bumper deal.

The Fijian-born flyer is off-contract at the end of the season and according to WWOS, “rival clubs are circling”.

Blake would join Isaiah Papali’i, Reed Mahoney, Marata Niukore as grand finalists to have left the club since the defeat to the Panthers.

SHARKS BACKROWER’S BIG CALL - Teig Wilton

Cronulla enforcer Teig Wilton is reportedly hot property, with at least six clubs lining up to sign the backrower.

Wilton’s contract ends after the 2023 season and is free to negotiate with rivals for the 2024 season and beyond.

According to WWOS, the Sharks have begun talks to extend his stay in the Shire but Wilton will likely hold off on signing a new deal as his value rises with regular starting minutes.

The Rabbitohs are reportedly keen on his services and assistant coach John Morris is shaping as a key figure in Wilton’s potential recruitment.

Morris is Wilton’s uncle and the Redfern-based club reportedly believe he’s the perfect man to partner experienced five-eight Cody Walker on the left edge.

Meanwhile, the reigning premiers the Panthers are said to be one of the other clubs interested in his signature.

Should we have a crack at either of them .. ?? for me it's a no .. !!
