Mitchell Moses #175

I know people are turning off him but gees he has a big kick on him. His general kicks and kicks for touch make massive meters and we clearly lack in this department. I hate it when we get a penalty and make 5 to 10m off the kick when most clubs are getting 30 to 40m.
We need to start winning while Eels are down to help our cause.

Totally agree, we need to throw the sink at him. Our halves kicking games are mediocre at best.

I wonder how Brooks feels about Moses delaying his decision. If they are in fact looking at a combined deal to have them playing together again then Brooks is reliant on Moses making a decision for both of them.

Isn’t Brooks off contract this year, the longer this drags out the harder Brooks may find it to get a contract for next year and beyond.

Moses could conceivably make us a top 8 team. We won't win a comp paying him $1.4m a year, but just becoming a competitive team in the finals again would help a lot in terms of long-term success.

Objectively looking at the last two weeks, if you put Moses in the 7 instead of Brooks, we're 2-0. Parra are 0-3 with Moses in the team. It's pretty clear Parra's premiership window has closed with guys like Papali'i and Mahoney moving on and the forwards all getting older.

It may sound crazy, but from a strictly football perspective, I think we're the better move for Moses. However in terms of legacy, being a club legend and off-field sponsorship/opportunities, Parra is probably the wiser decision for Moses. Given he's already made the finals plenty of times and even played in a grand final, there's nothing he's going to achieve here which he hasn't before. So realistically he's just milking every last dollar he can get out of Parra.

Can't agree, as the EELS have Lane and Matterson to comeback and in my opinion have been a bit unlucky in all three games. I think they have looked impressive 🤔

Yep said that weeks ago, that I expected the Dogs to be the club to get his signature. When ever Gus says something , expect the opposite
Yes the TRUTH is a word that must have a different meaning for old GUSSY BOY than it does in my Funk & Wagnall?
