The size of the backs playing today, has changed the game. The Eagles both backs and forwards are big , powerfull and fast. This i think is the prototype of the future. The light wingers get bulldozed in attack and defence, the big halves take more bodies to stop them, thus creating space. Very much like American football, we are going bigger and faster. When you look at the top sides backs, we look small.

I think Isaah Longi has the long term fullback spot.
Turuva has a long term opportunity on the wing though.
Was sounded out by the Dolphins, met with Wayne but ultimately resigned with the Panthers shortly after.

Have wanted him for a while, gun player but he was extended at the Panthers few months back doubt he will be released unless we trade them someone.

Melb would take him for sure their backs are dropping like flies and they lack depth, as bad as Nofa has been for us they'd take him over Grant Anderson.

Pezet is strictly a back up half... imo he's Nico Hynes 2.0 without the versatility of playing fullback and can't play 9 so he won't really be a good 14 at all

Melb wouldn't release him for no reason because he's still a good back up, however if we offered Nofa who has already been in that system they'd take it - they get a starting calibre player to fill a void they're lacking in significantly and we get a very promising 7

I agree with both of you, yeah I wanna FB better than Kennedy, like teddy or RTS, but Kennedy is better than what we have and also a go’er who doesn’t stop on a play, and is available at the end of the season.
Still I think we give stains the FB role for the rest of the year and hopefully he can be our man. Save the extra money for a new 6/7.

Unfortunately stubborn Sheens will probably pick and then persevere with Doueihi at full back for what will no doubt seem like an eternity.

Can only hope that it doesn't turn out to be a complete disaster.
