Pascoe May have some faults but he is not the one holding this club back. It all comes back to the roster and lack of high quality game breakers. Api is a step in the right direction, but good sides have four or at least three quality players in the spine, we have one. As we have found out a truck full of money doesn’t attract the elite players to sign on with us. So it’s going to take some time and luck to get this club off the canvas.
Zero from three against bottom eight teams is far from ideal, but I get the feeling things will get better over the next few months, might not translate into many wins, but I think they might push a few teams unlike last year
Justin is the one who is responsible for assembling the team who assembled the playing roster.
He IS the problem.
He is picking the coaches and the football department.
He is the one who is inadvertently getting involved in player negotiations etc.
He is the face of the administration - he is the head of the company.
He is either the unluckiest CEO in history OR he has poor judgement or business skills …
He has been outplayed by Penrith , the bulldogs, player managers and has had poor decision making
It was Justin’s opinion that we should’ve hire Wayne Bennet bc he couldn’t come for a year - which would’ve been worth the wait - however also knowing that any coach who signs with another club a year out is most likely going to be released earlier from his current club bc it’s untenable … that is just ONE wrong decision he made … there are countless
If he was the CEO of Apple - and the iPhone didn’t work - it’s his fault ! Even though the Head of Engineering is responsible for the product working. The CEO picks his team.
Justin has picked Cleary, Madge, Sheens etc.
Yes he has a board but it is his recommendations.
Everyone saying Justin isn’t the problem is blaming the jockey for not winning the horse race… Justin picks the JOCKEY!
And the board PICKS Justin - so they are also accountable.
Any company in the world would not keep a CEO who has failed to make the 8 in a decade.
The board are just as bad for keeping him but getting rid of Justin PROVIDED we pick someone better is the right move.
