I'm not worried about releasing players. Doueihi and Nofo appear to be the only dud contracts that are a concern and they aren't at the same level as Brooks. Brooks is gone next year.

I just don't see this working or happening.

It's going to take some time.

You are right though in that we really need these positions fixed now because the rest of the team is looking pretty good.

I would certainly hope so, anyone with any footy nous knows Brooks is an abject failure as an NRL level half, but our club makes some brain dead decisions

This is a friend of a friend of a friend situation, but given this is the section for rumors....
There have been discussions between AD's team and Eddie Jones about code switching. AD does have a rugby background.
The reason i am posting this is, i wonder if his crap form and lack of interest game day is him starting to kick stones so that we allow him to leave early.
I for one would not hesitate to let him go, as i feel his only position is centre and in my opinion he does not deserve a shot in the centres ahead of AJ and Naden.

He can take Brooks and Laurie with him and go now

Anyone that has watched him play his near 200 games knew he wouldn't improve, even with decent forwards and a world class 9, he just doesn't have it, he has zero footy IQ, looks like a debutant every week, but just never learns from his mistakes

Totally agree, did not see the rush in resigning him. There was no stampede of other clubs chasing him

The club is on notice. It is impossible for them to avoid the negativity about these performances. I think the media will even get into our corner (fans(shareholders*)) in regard to us not resigning Brooks.

I can't blame them, he has always played behind a beaten pack, this year with the new pack was always going to be his litmus test as to his real ability being given more space to work with. It's without a doubt now he hasn't got it, he's mentally checked out I reckon and I reckon he wanted to go to Newcastle.
