We gave Brooks 10 years, not sure why we want to punt AD just yet. We need to give him a chance.

lawrie has been a brave defender at fullback. just too small for that position which by its nature means a player is often isolated under the high ball or carrying it back.

He is gutsy and has a decent pass. Can run with the ball from an off load or at a hole anticipating a pass.

give him a go a 5/8. what have we got to lose?

Would like to see Simpkin back in the top team soon. Thought he looked good earlier this year before getting murderer by Saifiti.

Realistically across this season I think the team have done their individual roles okay but the cohesion and polish is lacking.

Cohesion will come with time. Polish will come with some spine players that can pull their weight.

Fix the 1,6,7 and the Staines wing (still unsure if he’s the answer) and most the rest of the team isn’t too bad.

Our pack has competed every week and the emergence of AJ, Tupou and resurrection of Naden sorts out 3/7 of the back 7. 4 spots up for grabs IMO.

Happy to trial any combos that do not include Luke Brooks.

Can anyone at all tell me what Staines has done wrong at fullback?

The only time we look dangerous is Api making breaks out of dummy half but then has no support.

My team would have Staines at fullback playing support for Api with his speed.

For me I have Wakeham playing RHS
Brooks playing LHS
Staines and API through the midddle.

*I know people say why persist with Brooks. Personally I think the only one playing worse is AD and we have no depth. I know Laurie was trialled at 6 in the break but he is disinterested and also playing like puss.

Plenty of spots up for grabs but nobody is exactly putting their hand up.

I think AD will continue to get a start because he is more likely to kick goals than anyone else. (And the bar is set very low.)
