Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The drums are beating! Warrington bosses are worried!
Maybe money does talk because we could hardly sell him on our improvement.
Or perhaps Bateman has given him a call and said, with you here we can get to where we want to go.
Stay tuned !

May be....
I'm not convinced - I was sorry to Sheens go last time, His power tripping was off the charts.
I see he still has the same lines now that he had then... There's reasons that aren't excuses, In 2005 we did this, We're only 2 Wins behind someone (Or 2 wins out of the 8)
He's actually done nothing in the last 25 years bar win a comp with us, and make the finals 3 times...

BUT - Everybody has been screaming for some Footy Intellect in a senior role - Not many blokes that have more than him.
We have a pot load of kids that need bringing into grade - And he has history of doing that very well, Here and at other clubs....
Like they say, We can't do worse.... I also don't know if we can do better....
Well, History tells us that we can't
A senior role maybe, but definitely not coach

Could we play Bateman at five eight and Wakeham at half back whilst we find decent players?

Brooks and AD need a long stint in State Cup. I don't care what they are paid they are not currently NRL standard players.
We could put a witches hat out there and would do better..
Brooks and AD need a stint in reserve grade otherwise others will look a them as favourites and lower there standards.
MAYBE we need to keep losing for something to change.

we need to prise him away for 2024. I don't care what amount of money it takes. we can't keep treading water.

with the bye next week, Sheens should be on a red eye to London on Tuesday morning. pay what is required and get him here on a three year deal.

As much as I hate to say this all of first grade need some sort of attitude coach
All seem happy to just float along and do just enough
What is needed is max effort and all would change for the better
There is too much softness in this club for a couple of players to shift their mentality alone

Sheens strategy last few weeks is erratic to say the least
Its drop this one , move that one , try this ,try that .Its obvious the main problem is the backline . The entire 1-7
1 . FB lacks speed and unlike most other clubs does not seem to be an attacking weapon
2. Our centers leak like a sieve rushing up missing tackles and offering little in attack
3. Our playmaking half's are usually taking wrong option
4 Our kicking game is usually kicking dead and no repeat sets
With Cleary and Reynolds usually the worst result is a forced drop out

Sheens problem re the backline is really hard given the lack of backline talent he has to work with
If we are stuck with Brooks this year then move him to the centers where he can just run and tackle ( he's fast and can tackle ) our existing centers cant
For me I'd move Douehi to centers also
For playmakers we don't have much but Bateman acts like a playmaker all over the field
Try Bateman /Wakeham combo .
Imho - Laurie should be given another go at FB but much depends on his current attitude and fitness and that I'm unaware
Wingers - should be good finishers and don't get bundled into touch and good under high ball -weve plenty to pick from there
Quality forwards we have plenty
Mr Sheens its bloody serious!
We are now the first club to go 0-5 in consecutive years since Newtown in 1968

It's not about emotions like taking offense.
It's not about venting.
I think you missed the point too.
It's about accountability.
You talk about moving ahead.
How do you move ahead when issues like this aren't resolved?
If you ignore it, it will happen again.
I think energy needs to be directed at effecting BIG change in the organisation, starting at the top.
This forum is where fans together can discuss & organise.
This is our voice.
We must be the only fan group in the entire N.R.L who have no say at all in the running of the organisation, others can vote for board members and things like that but we have no recourse to do anything apart from this forum and emailing Pasco.

We have bar Api by far the worst spine in the N.R.L. I think our 1,6 and 7 wouldn't even be part of the best spine in reserve grade.

Jordan Rapana - according to Fox Sports will be part of a clean out at the Raiders after this season.

Despite his age, he could be a good value buy for us for 24/25 to start at fullback until Jahream Bula is ready, then he can shift to the wing. Would probably become the fastest in our club and provides experience, although his sin bin/suspension record is becoming a worry.

These days he seems to give away a lot of penalties and certainly hasn't got the impact he once had but for the right price and on a short term deal, probably not a bad pickup

I think he has a dud attitude. He is a competitor but man he does some dumb stuff.
Our mob are starting to get a bit catty as we continue to lose....we don't need more players to give away stupid penalties.
