Why would a decent player want to come to a club that attracts so much negative press and rightly deserved. It started with the Centre Of Excellence wall design being wrong, the group playing like reserve graders and being coached by somebody that is really out of touch, and then lying about consulting the Australian Army about the Jersey design. Do we not live in a world where people are held accountable for their actions ?

The new girl signings have the right attitude why can't the men.

We scored 3 tries in reggies off Will Smith kicks and he's the only bloke that hasn't been given a crack.
I'm not sure if he's eligible but if he isn't surely we could use the "there's no other player at the club that plays halfback" reason that allowed Bula to be named in the squad.
I mean it's true right?

And when did Brooks last kick a grubber to the ingoal for us to score a try.

Is Staines a ball player? Never noticed that part of his game.
As for the halfback…

No not really, but he's got the speed to make defenders slide in or shoot when they don't need to, then he jusy has to get a pass away. I think he does everything else quite well. He's no superstar but he's the best option currently on the roster.

Sending Twal out to defend Pascoe was worse form than getting the jersey wrong.

Watched 360 when I got in from work, putting Klem, Bateman and Twal out to defend the decisions made by the corporates is garbage. Kent was right the football is no good it's the football departments responsibility. Now that corporate stuffed up and lied where were the ceo or chair. They sent players out.

Right mate. Sure he has.

Not sure that qualifies as sending Twal out to defend Staines.
It was just a comment from a player and he has done some good things for the club, just not on the field related( apart from helping in the warm up).
Anyway, I always thought Twal’s main role was in charge of ordering and picking up the kebabs.🤣

And his first intention is to catch the ball on the full every time.
I remember a few weeks back he took a good low diving catch, and his commitment into it was impressive and skilful, and then I thought “that is just standard FB skills that our other FB’s have not been quick enough or committed enough to display”. Not to mention his positioning is better.
It was obvious to me he was the better FB at the club, not as dynamic as Laurie in attack but when Laurie started letting them bounce it was all over for me.

Ok so it was a question in an interview, Twal didn’t get sent out to front the media to defend Fruit Pascals.
Well Twal should have played a straight bat and defended his club, team, CEO, what ever, but you don’t air dirty laundry, you keep it in house.

My point was the club admin should have been in front of media taking those questions, not our plodding forward.

It was one of the only times that OUR ADMINISTRATION had to be fielding the questions.The useless gronks seem to only want to be on show when they are going to get brownie points and even then they stuff it up.The man in the silly hat would have done for the interview or failing that our number one clothing salesman

What is going on? In this heightened media scrutiny of all things Wests Tigers, how does a) a jersey get made with the wrong country's soldiers on it b) a lie that is easily disproven get told to cover this up.
It has to be on purpose, surely. How can an organisation be so ordinary? Is there a plan to drive the supporters away so when the licence is sold to Western Australia, or similar, only a handful turn up to protest? Something must be happening.
Also, if we are flush with cash atm, can we piss Gadget off and run with a clean jersey for a bit? I assume we'd need to in order to remove him as chairman.

Yes I know but my point being there might be someone at board level forcing the coaches hand. He might be a favourite player of theirs or something, I'm just saying it is the only logical conclusion I can come up with as to why Brooks has never been sent to reserve grade by multiple coaches.

My view is he is a great pre season trainer, listens, does what he is told, a yes man in the coaches eyes (and has fooled quite a few coaches).
But on NRL game days just has a split second less time to get his head focussed because of opposition pressure (as opposed to pre season) and stuffs up the better options. Slow to react under pressure! Can't adjust his mentally pre-planned next move; to the actual current situation he has in front of him. A gift of good halves.
This will not change with Brooks, and the coaches can't see it or admit to it?

Making football decisions that are detrimental to the team winning football games is illogical.

I kinda think he may have some underlying mental issues that have never been fully addressed( seriously). We expect things that he doesn’t fully understand or is capable of.
The best 7s have a thinking brain and weigh up the options. He doesn’t seem able to do that.
Not our Lukey, let’s try and do the impossible rather than do the small things well.
Like I keep saying, pay him out and wish him well. Enough is enough.

We definitely shouldn't be renewing him past this year, but no way is it feasible to end his contract early. As others have mentioned, he's crap (as much as it pains me to say this) but he's the best half we have.

We definitely shouldn't be renewing him past this year, but no way is it feasible to end his contract early. As others have mentioned, he's crap (as much as it pains me to say this) but he's the best half we have.

Unfortunately we have to endure this crap for the rest of the year.

So far he has what 0 try assists 0 linebreak assists and 0 linebreaks for the season, I'm prob wrong but so far cant remember him setting up anything. Also think he's a bit dirty for not being allowed to go to Newcastle. Same as Douhi, been kicking stones since he was refused time in Melbourne last year. Reckon him not getting the captaincy this year over Api has just made him clock off, reckon they've both given.up on the joint and just want out. Reckon Douhi signed the extension to buy more time to increase his value and give him more time to find somewhere else. Reckon so far both their N.R.L careers are dead in the water if they don't.get their heads in the game and pull their socks up.

I’m just saying in a corporate environment he would be gone, so why not WT ?
Or at least dropped so he can collect his dough but not impact the first team. It may even lift some spirits.
I think Wakeham should be given a shot at 7, not 6, and maybe the partnership with Doueihi may blossom.
Why not try ? We have absolutely nothing to lose.

Said Smith could be the Smokey for me this year , he needs to be made available to play top grade how ever and what ever it takes , he is better than Wakeman
