I wouldn’t either. He was our leader today and we need him & Staines to build. They need support but felt we started to get the combo working well in the 2nd half consistently.

Laurie was average in the first half but looked better in the second. With Books at 7, we need a creative 5/8 and Laurie is a better ball player than Wakeham or Smith.

2nd half Laurie played more in the line as well whilst filling in at fullback maybe a sign. Laurie didn’t seem happy at his post match interview though.

Will Smith would be the logical choice. He's the only 6 at the club besides AD so I don't know if he'd be eligible based on that.

if it is his ACL same knee then I'd say that is it for AD at the club if it takes a year. Maybe he gets back for mid 2024 ?

After watching Reggies and Firsts today i can see why Staines gets the nod. Laurie is just too small for 6.
Like it or not Imo Wakeham comes back in at 7 and Brooks at 6 and Talau in for Naden.

I hope he makes a full recovery asap because having to undergo the whole operation/rehab again would be both mentally and physicaly difficult

It sure is, I was only back playing for three weeks when I did the second ACL. I thought he was playing pretty good today so devastated for him and the team!

Saw a few like that over the years with the likes of Teddy and Moltz.

He was having a decent game too and defending well (for the first time this year)

Third ACL? Might be a dark road ahead for him.... I wish him the best. Truly believe he has a good team/support system around him.

Best game in since last season but still average, and now this injury, he cannot possibly be resigned again.

I’d say the screw popped out the graph so not as painful as rupture but still same outcome/recovery but you can walk on it.

I did my ACL and came back after rehab and was very similar to what Doueihi did landing with no pressure on me, knee buckled which caused the graph to let go. Really unfortunate for him and wish him a speedy recovery.

Are you sure about that because he walked off the field and usually with an ACL you need to be assisted to come off.Terrible news for him if he has injured it

It's usually mostly just lateral movement you can't do with an acl.

When I did mine, had it taped up and went back out again because I'd never done a knee before. 😦
