I'd be curious to see how Jake Simpkin would go at 7. He has a fair short kicking game and Brooks to 6. I dunno...not much else to chose from apart from Laurie and who knows where his head is at just now.

I've heard Sheens refer to Simpkin as a hooker/half in an interview.

Have been highly critical of him this year but I’m gutted for him hearing this news.
The ACL injury being confirmed is the worst possible news for him.I hope he gets as much support he can possibly get and remains positive after his operation and during his rehab.He has not been in the best of form this year but i hope he makes a complete recovery and comes back next year and has a great season.

As much as I have hammered AD for his form and leadership ability he does come across as a good bloke and I trust that he gets the support he deserves and recovers well.
So with AD out we need to get active. With Wighton on the market and it being between Dolphins and Raiders I’m hoping he goes Dolphins. This would allow us to make a play at O’Sullivan as I’d say they would play Katoa in halves with Jack. Other option is to make a play at Pezat from Storm or Sexton from Titans. Any others?

I wondered myself at the time why Brooks didnt kick, i know hes had hammy probs in the past....I wouldve been ropeable at this decision a few years back....I just laugh now

I am sorry AD is gone. 3x ACL injuries and not good enough form.
We cannot renew his contract and he should only be given min 150k to see if he can play again.

Trindall is the other good half currently not playing regular first grade - could definitely settle with him in our side

Yeh completely agree trindall has shown he can control a good side, would be a big difference coming to us but I think he would do well. I could be wrong though but worth a shot I recon. I know he just re-signed but contracts don’t mean a great deal anymore
