Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Lets be honest, Who would put their hands up to go to the Tigers right now and we haven't really played many of the top 8 teams yet.

Wins give a club credibility, The Dolphins have been together for 1 off season and know how to play a type of game that can win.
Yes and to think Bennett had some trouble getting marquee players to sign up. Things will be different next season, the sky’s the limit for this new club. Could end up being another Melbourne and have instant success.

However, there are several players that either played their best at the WT, or they became "representative" players when they were with the WT: Halatau, Hodgson, Ellis, Lawrence, Tuiaki, Simona, JAC, Koroibete, Richards, Marshall, Farah, Woods, Tedesco, Taupau, A Fifita, Whaitura, Elford, Prince ...

Note that all the players except JAC became "stars" under our current coach😉, so is this the end of the tunnel or the headlamp on a fast approaching train?🤔
Yes but most of them were over a decade ago!

Very accurate and sad post....I have been a Tigers supporter most of my 50+ years life, I have been a continuous WT member with my sons for the last 12 years, this year I decided against renewing as I felt its time the Tigers "earnt" my membership renewal. I was hoping the Tigers performances in 2023 would do just that, but clearly they are not going to. All my mates laugh at me now when I tell them I'm a Tigers fan, they all think the club is shit with NO light at the end of the tunnel. Even my mates say, No player or Coach wants to join the WT", we are a career suicide club for players and coaches.

Yes, the Tigers are in my blood, just like a black sheep family member, I can't ever fully disown them. I'm afraid I can't see any positive changes on the horizon, but I remain hopeful that one day/year, I can feel good about cheering my team to a victory...(which is approaching 1 year) and the club is a regular finals contender..

OK W stop right now coz it’s sounding like your next step is the big S. But please don’t do it, hang in there( bad choice of words) and let’s see what happens in the future.
We need you !!!!
PS And believe me we are all more than cranky about where we’ve been and where we are.
But tomorrows a brand new day, and who knows what might happen.
As the old saying goes” it’s always darkest before the dawn”
Cheers mate.
This has been one of the longest nights in history then, when is it dawn, asking for a friend

You talking about AD? If you are, I would say no. Surprised we signed him for '24 even. Probably for the best now as he'll have the second half of that year to get a contract with us or someone else. Another injury during '24 might be it for him though.

Similar story for my 57 years, though I still proudly wear one of my WT caps around.

At least we have won a premiership, and this century at that, which a few cannot lay claim to. Plus we come from foundation stock on both sides of the joint venture, and maintain a huge following despite the past decade and more.

No phins or any other for me, but a win and decent signing would help to brighten things up for us supporters

Anyone interested in watching journeyman Aaron Woods make his life long dream come true of playing for Manly

This F Wit deserves to be remembered as a journeyman not a one club legend
He is a journeyman to say the least
Bus 483 Leichhardt to Bankstown
M92 Bankstown to Sutherland then
969 to Cronulla then
985 and 477 to Kogarah all change
train to Town Hall all change to St Leonards then Bus 144 to Manly.

Hope he didn't have a lifetime Opal card as part of his Tigers retrenchment package.

Kepoa and Naden should be our centres heading forward with Tupou and Toa on the wings. They have shown enough to warrant these spots for the rest of the year. Talau played five eight as a junior and couldve been an option there whilst Douehi is out. He is a way better option than Laurie as some have suggested.
Did you watch our game against Parra and especially the Broncos .You will see that our centers are a defensive liability especially on our left . Its all very well when we've got the ball but defence is an issue .Check the tapes

Kepaoa at centre seems to rush out of the line leaving everyone high and dry but when he played 2rf he stayed in the line. I thought he played better at 2rf.
