We were talking about halfback play.
Madden fumbled at the end. Brooks fumbled the entire game where we had the run of every vital stat in our favour. That is far more of a hanging offence.

and Brooks not competing as a halfback leader against a side smashed by illness is the reason they were still in that game.
There is a reason he has lost every game he has played as a halfback since mid August 2021.

They had people on that spoke some nonsense, no different to any other network, and they settled because they didn't want their talent to have to testify in court. There is a 2 tiered justice system in the US, anyone looking at it objectively can see that. Sorry to talk BS politics, you did bring it up though 😉

I think brooks gave away a penalty for a high tackle to get them down that end of the field to be in a position to put that kick up

Townsend was pretty terrible in his stint at the Worriers before going to the Cowboys and I was amazed that the Cowboys went as well as they did last season.
Can't stand Townsend, Kyle Feldt, Butler or that Clown Klein after that disgusting Captain's Challenge last season.
Don't think Townsend would solve any of our problems anyway.

Townsend is way better than any of our halves and with the lack of good halves around I’d have him in a heartbeat.

I still go back to Sheens' comment about looking for an 'experienced half' (or 5/8).
Who fits that bill? Make another play at Pearce after the season? Sezar? Townsend probably fits. Moylan?
Given the situation at the Tigers, it can't be a 'glory chaser'. This needs to be a guy toward the end of his career looking for a challenge, or a lifeline. Attracting the top-end talent doesn't work- Moses, Munster etc.
They need someone that WANTS to play with Ice, Api, Bateman. I honestly don't know if Sheens can get his experienced half. I cringe & think we might need to look at the guys squeezed out elsewhere or looking for redemption.

Brooks did put up a high shot which did result in them getting down field. Madden did drop the ball in the in goal, but Brooks is the reason they got down there. Both have a hand in losing the game against the Titans but I do agree with @Tucker that Brooks couldn’t capitalise against a weakened Titans side. That’s when you know that Brooks isn’t a good half when he couldn’t put the Titans to bed.
Get the feeling since were 0-7 the queue has been put in the rack
Maybe if we were 3-4 they might be more desperate to keep the season alive

Been on the road touring Europe for over 5 weeks with a couple more to go. In that time we have not won a game, we had a lucky win against the bye and have not been linked or signed a soul. Except a ageing no9 on a reserve grade contract.
We are a spineless club minus API so nothing is ever going to change till this is rectified. Ok young Bulla looks to have a future but with no 6 or 7 to help him, he will be doing tuff.
