Luke Brooks #167

We all know Brooks probs...lack of creativity in opp 20.

That did not change last night. He had tons of shots and came up with nothing in their 20.

His long kicking was great though and his D strong.

We just need 'someone' with creativity.

Not easy to find...but we need a Cody Walker type who sees overlaps and has the pass to find people when overlaps appear.

If we had that player, a lot of Brook's issues would be covered and people would focus more on his strengths. As it stands, we just don't have that creative player.

He is a good halfback from our dead ball line to the opposition 20m. Once inside that 20m he struggles.

All we have ever needed is Brooks to consistently play well and demonstrate the maturity of a seasoned FG 7 especially one who commands a big salary.
Wests Tigers fans are not the only ones who can and have identified his weaknesses.

Or put a half decent team around him and got them playing on the same page....

We've had plenty of opportunity to win more than just last night's game this season.
True.... Despite no one (Including most here) backing us to win....

I think we probably should have won the Knights and Titans games.
- But I can put that down to no miles in the side, And general clunkiness....
(Like when a rep filled Roosters lost Rd1 to the Tigers ring ins in 2018)
Reality is, Both Knights and Titans sides were on par with ours on Paper.
Still disappointing no less, Especially with some of the leg ups we got.

Dogs I'd have given us 50/50

All the other Losses were against stronger - more experienced teams than ours, And bar Brisbane
we were in every game up to our eyeballs, A win has been coming for a couple weeks - We didn't lose any fans against Manly or Parra I don't feel....

Not all our short comings in good ball are the fault of the halves,
Anyone who's claiming it is - Isn't watching the games - Or is watching them decided already..

Careful, the Stockholm syndrome is strong with this lot. After 1 game they want to shower him with praise and give him a knighthood for finally actually doing his million dollar job.........only 10 years in the making to get that 1 performance.

Back it up now for the next 15 games.
Most people were saying he was done, including me. I don’t think that people are saying it undoes 10 years of underperforming, but at least there’s hope.

I don’t think anyone should be called a cancer - it’s pretty offensive to anyone who has had cancer or knows someone who has.
Direct the cancer comment at the person that said it. Don't include it in a reply to me.

I'm one of the biggest critics of the whole organisation but when credits due it's deserved and its a joy to give the whole team a rap.... I was stokes last night - so good

But you can see the difference between critics and death riders, must be horrible not to have enjoyed that last night... I'm still pumped 💪
plenty of "fans" on here would have hated last night's win with Brooks a big part of the win.

Usually its the Brooks 'fans' that appear quite happy to have him named in the team over the Tigers 'fans' actually wanting to win. Good for a change once and a while. Brooks finally played like a par NRL half back.

1-7

When its 14-7 start the gloat, until then its background noise at best.
