Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

What about the one he kicked on half time. Wakeman is a good goal kicker
That shows he has talent. The bad miss of a much easier shot shoes that his talent is not yet developed. Consistency is the difference between top players and the rest. Saints are struggling too because Lomax also misses a lot, and it's cost them games because he's the best they have.

If you are playing a grafting game, you need the extra points.

Jake would be a great addition! And just need a a decent half. Bula looks like a lock now, Api is playing out of his skin each week. We have the pack.
I like Averillo. But would he cement a permanent place in a permanent position at WT. He's versatile but is he a 1,Centre,6 or 7?

Look he has that x - factor about him , we don’t have that in our side at all , would love to get him fit and make him a lock , the bloke can offload as good as any in the nrl , I would take a chance on him

I can't swallow it mate, He's on 800k at 21....

That's just too big a chance for mine - Especially for the lack of output...
You're right on the other though... Has x factor and can play.

Interesting to see Kristy Fultons comments on this recent narrative....
Alluded to him still reppin out west and not committing to the job
And that it's been that way for some time.

Probably - 14....
Could play anywhere from 1-7, Lock....
Think he could fill in at 9 if required.

Played well yesterday, There's always been something to like about him
But he just can't hold a spot.

With Xerri and Crichton coming next year....
Doubt he'll end up at the Dogs.

Not sold on him but clearly has talent, if we could get the price down to at least 600k under new cap he wouldn't be the worst option but shouldn't have a contract longer than 2 years because he'll either be a complete success or a massive flop

Schuster is a game breaker and would gives us something we just don’t have. Someone who can create, is an attacking threat and can convert in the red zone which we desperately need.

I get off field etc concerns but they haven’t been a major issue until the last 6mths or so since he was injured. Manly were more than fine with him to the extent they moved Foran on extended him and promised him the 5/8th gig. He is 22 and career ahead of him.

Get the salary side also but 800k reportedly over the coming years isn’t the high end either of what players will get moving forward.

We would be nuts if the chance came up to grab him to not be in the race.

As a 5/8th would we prefer AD, Wakeham or Schuster - no brainer for me.

If we could get Schuster in a Talau swap and not pay full wedge for him for a couple of years i think its worth the risk. There are no halves on the market this year not sure about next, we lack cutting edge in the opp 20, we have no issue getting there its creating the chances once there. Benji likes him im not sure how Schuster feels towards him whether there is some sort of admiration when he was a kid coming through, but he could be the one to unlock his full potential. Im reasonably confident the club will or already has locked in Brooks for a couple more years rightly or wrongly i think thats where the club is leaning.
We need someone with a bit of x factor unlocking teams Brooks isnt going to do it on the regular, and we may be able to go to market next year and see what else is out there in terms of halves.

Also he is just 21 same age as Bula , fits where we are heading to a tee

It would, but our coaching team would have to be confident they could get some of the crap out of the kid before we took him on. Seems to have a few off-field issues and fitness seems a problem as well. Wasn't Shuster the kid Benji said had one of the best FG debuts he'd ever seen.
I think he just needs a run without any injuries because any gains in fitness he gets disappears after a few weeks on the sideline, not sure if that's because of his work ethic or just his body type

He is lazy & has an attitude problem, our club has a history where players come here & develop those habits so to knowingly bringing a player here with those issues isn’t a good idea. He does have talent no denying but he’s lazy & unfit & throws a million no look passes that go no where. Trust me when I say Manly fans will be over the moon if we pick him up.

He is a solid AVOID for me.

Yes I get ur point $800,000 is way to much , maybe if we got him from manly they would pay a part of his wage , not sure how long he is signed for by manly . We could insert a clause in a new contract if he get down to a certain weight and performed we would up his wages . But I still think he is the X factor we need but he would depend on what we had to pay
