Heard some interesting information from a bloke that knows Scott Fulton pretty well.

Apparently we are not only after Schuster but Tolu Koula (centre for manly) him and Fulton have a good relationship and Fulton is pretty confident we can get Koula despite Rugby Australia advances

Would be a massive coup to grab Koula. Very very good young player. Slots straight into left centre for us and covers the #1 comfortably as well, hope your info has some truth to it. 🤞🤞

contract ends end of 2024, got told Fulton was pretty confident maybe hence the rush to sign Fulton etc ?
I'd say it probably means we have to pay more of Schuster salary than we might like ? have no idea about that though

Koula and Schuster hmm is that what Manly were worried about when Fulton came on board?

Manly have done alright plundering us and other sides in the past a bit of retribution, Koula has some serious speed lot of upside in him. We transformed the forward pack last year time to give the backline a spit and polish.

He’s good in defence, and looks quick if he gets in open space.

As a centre, remember, this won't take into account defensive reads and decision making.

Centres are the lynch pin of backline defence.

Seriously the bloke has so much talent it’s scary

Benji Marshall is his idol if your idol is coaching you do everything possible not to let him down

A few years ago a team mate of his died at manly this would have a huge effect on a young bloke like home he needs a fresh start

I agree completely. Would be a massive signing for us. We haven't had an x factor player like him for far too long and to be honest there is a risk in signing any player.

Schuster has only played 38 games and has done some great things (and some bad things) like any player with that experience. Yes he needs to get his fitness/attitude right, but maybe a change of scenery is what is needed. The talent is definitely there!

Schuster is the best option potentially available to us. Otherwise it looks like we will have to settle for another mid range guy like a Reynolds/Mbye.

Get the deal sorted Tigers!

He was possibly the worst player on the field against us and is on 800k a year. Drops his head and screws up his face, when he makes and error and let's blokes run around him. Can't get the fundamentals right but he has the occasional great flick pass!
Des had problems with him now Siebold/Flannagan same.
He doesn't deserve anything other than a train and trial imo.

They have only offered an extension reportedly, he hasn't yet accepted.

I think the Schuster rumour has legs, Seibold and some players (Fifita) just don't get on.

IMO he's a perfect 14. Can fill in the halves but is a very good backrow player, could jump into the centres if needed. Probably not worth 800 but a gamebreaker like him is invaluable to us right now. Should be a genuine strike player

I think Reilly is a good tackler from the little I've seen.

Not unless he spent the offseason learning to tackle, but I am pretty sure it was 200 passes, so I reckon that is a no he still cant tackle.
I think there was one game where he made 1 tackle and missed 6?

Rather Staines over Nofa though.

If Nofa fixes that space between his ears he could be our best winger.
