Scoring points still a problem

Against Newcastle the signs were there, by round 4 it official. Scoring points especially in attack, was scarily lacking. We're going to be 12 rounds in and it has not been addressed. I have to cop that I was a huge Sheen's supporter, but even when we had a weak team on paper we could score points. For me it's the fact that almost everyone in the backline has been put on notice, except for the one who the coach had to make a decision on pre season. Klemmer has been outstanding, correct choice, maybe Hastings should have stayed. Michael Jordan's coach dropped him as a teenager, even great coaches make mistakes, it's the fact that he got protected from being dropped to protect the accountability of the coach.

We have cowboys twice ,Raiders and titans .they are all winnable games for us.
Defensively we are going good
Surely they can start scoring a few more tries
I think we’ll lose 3 of those by decent margins with the Titans game 50/50.

This season it seems we only score points from pressure. Would love to see the stats on where we are scoring our tries. I have a feeling that most of them are coming off high kicks and shifts from around the halfway line. Very few tries from breaking down structures.

When you only have a couple of ways of scoring then the other team will spend the entire week drilling those things, and will be well prepared to stop you on game day.

Now this may be a stretch, but the team has shades of the Penrith Panthers in 2019. That team really struggled to score points and were generally clunky. They defended okay but couldn't mount any scoreboard pressure. They found their groove in the second half of the year and ended up finishing 10th, having been 15th at this time of that season. Hopefully our guys can do the same and find some points while maintaining the defensive standards.

On a positive note, we are not going backwards after decent performances. Last 10 years we would have a good game then proceed to have 2 or 3 bad ones after it. Our guys are building on what they achieved last week. This is a good way to go about things (being process-oriented).

No need to panic about the lack of points. The year is already a write-off. So long as we are maintaining standards from week to week and trying to very gradually improve them, then we are moving in the right direction.

place your bets Ladies n Gents, how long b4 this turns into a Brooks bash o thon,5 more posts or less,?

Yea maybe .I'm still hoping for something to click in attack .it's been too bland .something got to give .
Then there's the chance of the old tigers we're we just roll over and get flogged

Our biggest problem, after not having a proper halfback, is our lack of support play. Api, Klem, Ice, Bateman, heck even Twal, all make good ground and when they look around to offload NOTHING.
The halfback problem is not a quick fix, but bloody hell, supporting the ball carrier should be.
