The decision to release Joffa is not about this year. This year there will be no finals. So what if we have to use Seyfarth for a few games. It’s about getting better value for the money we’re not paying to Joffa in 24 and 25.

IMHO This is part of a bigger picture being worked on by Fulton, and simply reflects the fact that Joffa was not that highly rated by the coaching team, and they obviously see him as expendable.
Remember we have offloaded quite a bit of our old forward cattle in the past year or so ( Leilua, Garner, Musgrove, Liddle etc) and this is just another one.
