They want a lock! They have one in Bateman. They want another second rower who can inspire the young guns on how to prepare and train at 101%. Inspire the next Gen.
Why waste the time in chasing players who are not going to come here in the first place do some people with in the club like the bad press?? Johnson was never going to come back to Sydney, Mitchell Pearce was never really interested in coming home. Frizell will not come back to Sydney when has extended in the Newcastle area and his wifes does not want to come back to Sydney. Yes i understand why the chase but realistically they would have had to know that the answer was always no.

He is the CEO.
He doesn’t take meetings with player managers. He takes meetings with his recruitment team after they have met with player managers and makes decisions based upon their expert advice and that of his executive team (CFO etc).

Just saw the NRL 10 BEST PLAYS ROUND 12.
And low and behold
West Tigers did not get a mention Canterbury got two tries, one from a bomb, and the other from a knock on, but all those plays our boys made, not one was worth a mention, BLOODY AMAZING.

First time I can endorse the "true supporter" label
I'm liking Bateman on the edge. We don't really need Frizell. If want to play Bateman at 13, we can have Blore on the bench and move Bateman to the middle towards the end of each half where his ball-playing and footwork are more valuable. I'd rather he stay away from the middle early on so his body can hold up better.

Big difference between Joe's attitude, supposedly leaving in days and clearly having a great time playing with his mates against the Cows, and Moses attitude a few years ago when he wanted to leave asap. Hope he stays.

The last try where our whole spine combined on the one play should've easily been the play of the week.
Why shouldn't he? Here are some examples of why he might:
- Recruitment have been discussing a contract with one of the agent's players. The agent says: "This sounds interesting but the Tigers have been a mess for years. My guy is ambitious and wants to go to a club that's going to be a contender. Is there any chance I could sit down with the top brass to hear about their vision for the club and try to get a sense of whether it's a place I'm happy to recommend my client commits to?"
- Pascoe recognises that he's not been helping recruitment and retention. As part of bringing Fulton in, he said "I'm going to stay out of your way if at all possible but we'll have a better working relationship if I have a better understanding of how your department works. As part of this can I come to a player agent meeting to get a sense of the type of things that get discussed, so I can try to make sure the club supports what you're doing in future?"
- Recruitment have been discussing signing one of the agent's players. As part of this the contract is going to need to be topped up by a TPA the agent believes he can source from a third party who likes the Tigers. However, this third party is in the same field as an existing sponsor and is therefore a potential conflict of interest. This isn't an issue recruitment or sponsorship can resolve independently so it has to be escalated.
I could come up with more if you like. The point is, this story isn't even smoke without fire - there's barely any smoke, and it's coming from a pile of wet leaves.

IDK what they named play of the week but it should be the Dragons try on the bell with two kicks. That was amazing and will be try of the year.
