Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Poor old Joe…busted his arse last year when very few even lifted a finger and his reward was a contract extension. An extension that was widely celebrated as deserved by the fan base and media. Less than 6 months later, this reward is deemed too expensive and we have traded him to our current day enemy, on an early release program.

That same day, another high profile prospective recruit rejects coming here. This is not coincidence. We do not look after our own. We are run by incompetent buffoons. Thanks management, for fcking up morale when we have finally got our act together on the field.

but the Kool Aid drinkers say nothing is wrong…

What is he meant to say.... "yeah hopefully they talk to manly and get me out of here"

Scott Fulton might be the new punching bag it seems and he's probably still unpacking
Schuster could've trotted out the usual cliches like 'I want to let my football do the talking', 'I want to do the best I can for the team' etc instead of categorically denying any possibility of leaving Manly for the Tigers.

I hope that releasing Joffa wasn't to free up cash for Schuster because I'd say he's long odds of signing.

We are still a joke even though the team is finally performing

A total joke of a club that needs a total management clean out b4 the team again is weighed down by bureaucratic crap

Its an official write off by management of season 2023,when in fact the way we are building ,we cld make a legitimate run at 8th spot..long shot I know, but losing a key forward without a replacement this year says weve drawn a line under 23 and moved on
The sponsors and supporters havent..and neither has the rest of the team Im sure
More Sheens BS to avoid accountability during his reign

People blew up the Schuster thing way more than it was. He wasn’t made available to talk and him getting injured sparked rumors going wild.

I don’t see him leaving Manly anytime soon.

This talk is almost as gold as the Lomax rubbish last year which was never happening.

It’s great to dream though.

You're under estimating Fonua....
His footwork at the line is better than most at the club.
His ball playing needs work to be a 13 - But he knows that and he's still young...

Did you see the effort he made to get out of the way (And not be an obstruction) on Tupou 2nd try
on the Weekend?
We've had 10+ yr club legends that would have somehow knocked 3 of those defenders over if they were caught in that position.

Fonua is the most likely 13 I see at the club moving forward for the next 2-3 years...
He could be anything - And will cost much less than Schuster.

Yes I did, it was worth a try assist. It’s the little things I see in some of these young fellas that I really like.

It sends the team a very poor message doesn’t it?

until the next time he gets a bit lazy ..he will continue to be “ on the move” to the Tigers as long as Fulton is here..
