2023 Forum Updates and Issues

Has someone contracted @Kul outstanding of the forum? I imagine a mod has his email? Thisproblem's been going on for 24 hours now. How long does it take to update the certificate?

Not getting any warnings, for me site is just very slow and need to reload the pages many times to get them up.

Using Firefox and Windows 10 (have so far resisted going to Windows 11) on a desk top computer.

Extremely frustrating because I am having so much trouble accessing @tiger_one's funnies.

It's just a shame the owner of the forum is predominantly interested in making money of of us than providing a high quality forum

Bit harsh... The forums good quality when it's working well... We don't know what's going on with Kul we all have busy lives
It's gone downhill in recent years. Good people forced out, ads taking up more and more space (have to hide an ad to access top navigation on mobile), pagination forced on all users (to increase ad revenue at expense of user experience) etc

Stay away from Windows 11 as long as you can....I regretted my move, but can't be bothered going back, too much hassle

Exactly. And he could just not bother having the forum at all.
There’s other forums, and this is only good bcoz it’s the most frequented, but if we all move to another or start a new one then same same yeah?
Or just fix this one, but it is becoming painful.

Anyone else getting SSL certificate errors on this site?
In Google click <lock> -> connection is secure.
While it's secure it has expired.

You're not the first person that has told me that, yet all these so called tech gurus keep pushing it like it's the best thing to ever be released.

Got to wonder if they're on a commission or some kind of kick back from Microsoft.

Believe it or not, I use Classic Shell to make my Start Menu look like it used to be in Windows 7 because I probably wouldn't be able to find my way around Windows 10 otherwise, let alone Windows 11.

I still create short cuts on my desk top for things like "my computer" and "Control Panel" because I find it easier to find some things than trying to sift through the settings, although a lot of the things I used to do in Control Panel I am not using as much these days and I am, in a way, slowly coming around, but it's a bit like turning the Queen Mary around.

These days I am not doing much of the geekier type of stuff I used to do 10 or more years ago like registry hacks, dodgy downloads and so on.
