Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He is 22…and has had injuries as you have said… he also had a lot of wraps on him prior to doing his knee… give him another year then you will know for certain whether he has it or not…

He has had wraps on him since he was 16 or so and done his knee more than once. I have no issues him staying or going but if we have no intention on using him over Seyfarth then might as well get some new blood in or use the spot for a rookie.

Love to hear the odd rumour and bits of gossip, hate the rubbish that follows. A rumour is exactly that a rumour and may or may not have any substance, but I say 95% of people who post this stuff are posting stuff that they have been told by reliable sources and are just passing on the info
You're a very optimistic individual

?

Lee's fedora seems to have his panties in a bunch...who the hell "champs" someone on an internet forum? I can just picture him pulling his fedora down a little, gritted teeth. Probably a really tough guy actually. Most people who call people "champ" on the internet are genuine tough guys without any insecurity issues.
Clearly i live in your head rent free mate

So true and that is why QLD have so much success. They have blokes like DCE Hunt and Munster putting on plays for young speed machines playing outside them. They don’t run five hit ups and a bomb or ten plays out of the weekly Penrith play book
Laurie Daley tried to grind to victory he won 1 series

I don’t care if he has done his knee 6 times… keep him another year

It's a shame Wakeham is so slow. I can't believe how slow he is. Put some speed into him and he becomes a threat, but as it stands I think he remains a good back up in an ideal world.
Ideally- yes. But I'm not seeing a lot of available options to replace him with. In the right set-up, he can play the Cliff Lyons type role- running across the line looking for line runners. Unfortunately, if there is one real weakness right now, it's that we are poor at line running with our back row & centres. Talau started to do it a bit, and Naden does offer that ability. Ice SHOULD be that guy. Bateman & To'a try to beat players with footwork- not really line runners. Play Wakeham on Ice & Naden's side, Brooks on Bateman & To'a's. Maybe?
