LIVE GAME Round 15 vs. Titans

Live Game Discussion
Naden in for Talua
Laurie in for Wakeham

Naden was playing excellent before his injury. Laurie should be given a crack at 6 in first grade

Was a weird performance in my mind, I know we lost but we showed some fight at the same time. Api coming off early threw us off badly, he’s our best player and most instrumental

If Talua and Wakeham don’t play that game I believe we’re a real shot
And who covers brooks

That comment from Tino about it being a contact sport and that he got the better of Koroisau was not good. It seems he hasn't learnt.
He continued to raise the elbow/forearm at the faces of our players during runs throughout the game, after the Api incident.

It is 100% a part of his game.
Continues to hurt players.
Time for em to come down heavy on him.

He has a point. Unfortunately Api is so much shorter than him, the bumpers are going to hit him in the head.

Tonight was coming 4 weeks up and a Thursday night game against titans.

We need more first graders.
Bula, Tupou, Brooks, Papalli, Bateman, Klemmer, Api, Pole, Utoikamanu, Toa Borderline Naden, Staines, Simpkin, Kepoa. Whichever way you cut it we need 4-6 players in the first 17 either juniors stepping up or most likely recruits.

I don’t see junior backline players ready we will need to recruit heavily.

Yeah, no if or buts, he lifts at point of contact to hit in collarbone to neck area, and he doesn't wrap his arms, or half heartedly at best.

I’ve got no emotions about it.
I’m just sick of watching Wests Tigers fans becoming the biggest whiners in the comp. People were blaming the refs in the first 10 minutes of the game, ignoring our horror ball handling and set completion.
We lost fair and square due to our own incompetence, as is always the case.
You are correct, however I was going to turn it off after ten minutes because the forward passes were just so frustrating. It was by far favouring the Titans, only because they had the majority of possession but it's just as bad as the constant offsides. It's one of the basic rules of the game it's the most simple to adhere to. If you can't throw the thing backwards you should be sent off and suspended for 4 weeks.

Started losing the ruck after about 10 minutes, couldn't get past the Titans' line speed, ref very hesitant to call infractions in the ruck which emboldened the Titans, low completion rate first half and no surprise we are down by 10 points.

Forwards failed to wind up and when we attempted to shift the footy to overcome the compressed defence, our passing was clunky. A really incoherent performance which is very disappointing considering we found something of a groove the past ~6 weeks.

Lucky in some ways to keep Titans under 30 points when we were on the back foot for much of the game and lots of dumb dumb plays when we had some momentum. Really poor under pressure.

Tommy Talau hopefully hooked after that performance - entirely unacceptable and Naden is a clear-cut replacement. Never seen a bloke shake his head so many times in 1 match from recognition of his own stupid plays.

I thought Brooks was alright - kicked long and to space; many of his runs relieved pressure and put us on the front foot, but Wakeham had a shocker and made a bad decision every second set which undid any positive setup play. Wingers and centres were swamped by rushing Titans defence. Toops is too loose in his carries; always a risk of dropsies. To'a had some good and bad moments, but I thought he generally got on top of Kelly.

Made all the worse for some crucial injuries. Not good.
