So sad. That team wouldnt strike fear through a 4th grade side. Unfortunately thats the side that will most likely be named. Reads like a Tigers team from 1994.

Storm are going to run a train on us. Then we’re going to have a week off to prepare for what will be a very violent game in Townsville.
I’m not sure I’d submit DaSilva to any of that.

17. ??? Probably Seyfarth

Weak bench. I don't understand why we let go of Joffa.

surly we get a couple of debutants against the storm, would be good seeing they will have a few players out with origin. Would be a good game to get them in and use to first grade and see how they go

I don't think I'm too keen on debuting anyone against the Storm. Especially being weakened with the losses of Api and Brooks.

Name Laurie at 6 and take the L.

This game will set the tone for the rest of the year. Either they will front up like they have most of the year; or it will be the why give a [This word has been automatically removed] we had most of last year. That to me will be the criteria as to whether we have truly shown some improvement. Attitude can never be underestimated.

Assuming Brooks won't be there:

1. Bula
2. Nofo
3. To'a
4. Naden
5. Tupou
6. Laurie
7. Wakeham

13. Twal
12. Bateman
11. Papali'i
10. Klemmer
9. Simpkin
8. Utoikamanu

14. Da Silva
15. Pole
16. James
17. Kepaoa

Twal to play lock for 80 minutes. Keep the middle defensively tight and do the big useless metres. Pole hasn't the motor for lock for big minutes. Would prefer him off the bench as an impact forward.

Seyfarth isn't the answer, Sheens will probably pick him but I'd give James a go and see how he tracks.

If Talau is picked over Naden, Sheens need to be committed ASAP. That was an absolute dogshit display last night and we would have been better off playing with 12 than having Talau there. Let him go to Manly, yesterday preferably.

From what I've seen of Cup games Laurie is about the only one who resembles an NRL player . Talau must be dropped surely . We have to keep Wakeham for his sort of kicking game but given he can run the hundred in 20secs flat we need the other half to have real speed.

Not a fan of Bateman at lock. We missed his defence on the edge. I'd rather see Blore in the middle.

Also think it's too early for Da Silva given he's played about 20 minutes at NSW Cup level. Cherrington can do a job until Da Silva is ready.

I would say we'll get a good idea of Sheens/Benji's thinking for team selection next week with our NSW Cup team on Sunday:

- if Da Silva is likely to debut, you would think he will be given a run in NSW Cup.
- if he plays JF & Rua plays Cup, maybe next week could be Rua's opportunity.
- if Laurie is seen as a potential half replacement, watch for him playing 5/8 on Sunday instead of fullback.
- if Laurie plays fullback, then I would say Will Smith comes in.

I wouldn't be surprised if Laurie and the hooker chosen is pulled out of NSW Cup/Flegg.

It’ll be Will Smith especially losing so much experience in Api & Brooks.

Simpkin hooker, Da Silva bench.

Smith also provides additional hooker coverage if required with T’oa moving into 5/8 & Kepaoa centre.
You been watching him play in cup ? Average if that
