Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Why? So you can continue to waste your career at a club that shows no signs of getting off the bottom of the ladder.

If he signs for less he is helping us move off the bottom of the ladder.

Or so you can continue to be the scapegoat for the club failures and cop vile abuse from some of the clubs 'supporters'.

Mate - this is insanity that I have actively pushed back on. It's wrong.

Interestingly Greg Alexander thinks he’d be a great 14 for another club… filling in in the backs and hooker.
Didn’t even mention any team should consider him as a halfback.

Brandy is cooked. You only have to look at his ridiculous comments on Origin over the past few years to see his opinion can be bought.
Maybe… but just about every club that’s been linked to signing him as a half have disassociated themselves from even thinking it.

Didn't play a role in the Bulldogs comeback?
Wasn't pivotal in swinging momentum in the Panthers win with 2 40/20s?
Didn't slot what should've been the match-winning field goal against Canberra?
Didn't tear the Cows to shreds several weeks ago?

He may not have the consistency we like and it may not always lead to wins, but to say he doesn't have the capacity to turn a game is disingenuous.
I think everyone accepts he has played ‘well’ over the past 4-6 weeks, but has still not reached the level or consistency of Munster, Hughes, DCE, Hunt, Reynolds or Moses etc nor shown the ability these players have of playing what’s in front of them. Additionally managing the team around the field is just something that is not in his game.

I don’t think you can compare Bula to Tedesco at this stage. Bula has hit the ground running but has a long way to go.

Teddy is a footballer who was the best fullback in every grade he played in, he is also a very good athlete and probably the best player we produced.

Bula is a pure athlete at this stage and would probably be quality in any athletic sport. He’s recently come back to rugby league and is learning the fullback position.

Bula could end up better but he’s behind Teddy at this stage of their careers IMO.

Yeah I don’t get why people are comparing the 2 outside of they both play fullback that’s it re similarities. Body shape/style/athleticism/running technique/ball handling etc is all different between the 2.

Lets just see how Bula goes but from his nrl debut season so far the kid has delivered well above anyone’s expectations. Enjoy the ride as it might just be a special one.

He thinks Brooks would be a great 9. Not sure about that
I actually think he could be too. He has done it a little in the past, and his padding from dh was crisp and very accurate.
But again, his downside is he simply doesn't seem to be able to run plays - especially so near the try line. So he'd have to be at a club with a massively controlling half.
I guess maybe he could be a good pick up for the dragons?

Was just reading fox sports and the article was about who the dragons could target for next year.

One player was Matt Lodge.

It's no secret he was an absolute psycho in the past and has a history of early departures... like at practically every club bar the roosters!

But I was just thinking about if I were the tigers, would I sign him again?

I would never re-sign Moses, Matterson or Aloiai after how they left, but I think at a good price, and as long as he didn't go off his meds, I probably would.

Of course a lot comes down to things I can't possibly know - I can only judge on the surface - but he seems to have kept himself out of trouble and may have matured?

I guess what I'm saying is if he is different these days, and cheap, he'd be a very handy addition to the pack. So, purely as a player, I would.

But if he is still a complete tool, no way.

Easiest to just steer clear, but interested to read opinions on this.
