Bennett agreed in principle - But wouldn't dip out on his last year of his Broncos contract.

In hindsight - Some may claim it might have been an idea... But none would have at the time (Including you)

We got Madge and The Broncos shafted Bennett for Seibold a little later....
Maguire was hired in October - Bennett sacked December

No, Pascoe hired Madge for 2019 as he could start immediately. Cleary was also happy to stay on for 2019. We could have announced Bennett and used it to sign prospective players for 2020, and have Ivan remain Coach for 2019,as it turns out, Broncos sacked Wayne so we would have had him for 2019. Pascoe got butt hurt that Ivan was leaving and signed Madge instead.

I’m assuming not many tigers he’d say that about or is it a generalisation you think

The fact that Bennett got moved on early is the kicker
Do you think anyone would have liked Ivan to stay as caretaker for a year . A big conflict of interest imo
Should of just signed Madge for one year
But hindsight is a wonderful thing
Bennett didn’t hold his word to coach roosters so you would assume he was only waiting to be paid out anyway

Having Ivan remain for 1 Season wasn't ideal...but surely it's a worthwhile scenario for our struggling Club to obtain the services of arguably the greatest NRL Coach ever. We've endured 5 struggling Seasons since.

Didn’t work for Newcastle and arguably not for broncos when he returned
Don’t really think he had the greatest form as coach leading up to the decision to justify your point
That’s just my opinion though

I'd never say that Brooks didn't put in everything he had, he sure tries hard, but it's just been that what he's delivered when he's been trying his best has been pitiful most of the time, especially considering the position he plays and the money he earns.

Cleary was signed until end of 2020....
He wasn't happy to stay on at all - He sought out a release from the final 2 years of his contract.

How on earth does the club continue to function / recruit with a coach who doesn't want to be there?
Pascoe did exactly what he should have...

Waiting a year with no coach for a bloke who's 70 odd years old
and has bailed on clubs by changing his mind after agreeing to terms isn't bungling....

No matter how you try to sell it.
