Some of you seem to know more about player talent than all the ex players who now work on Fox Sports and Channel 9 who unanimously say Luke Brooks is a quality player and will be a big loss.
I’m optimistic we can get someone like Braydon Trindall, but if we don’t get a decent quality 7 we are in far bigger trouble than many of you would like to admit.
 
Is he only signed to start there next year though?
Does that mean he will play more games for us?
It’d be ridiculous if he does.

Latrell killed it at the Roosters at centre winning back to back GFs. He has been ok at Souths but nowhere near as effective. All his rep footy has been at centre.
GI was an absolute weapon as a centre for many years at club level and rep level winning a Clive Churchill, RLIF centre of the year, 2 x Dally M rep player of the year awards, the Wally Lewis Medal, Harry Sunderland Medal, Ron Macauliffe Medal and a Golden Boot playing there.
I’ve seen you say you coach footy before. I pray it’s not kids, they don’t deserve such an unknowledgeable boofhead poisoning their formative years.

We were in trouble without a decent quality 7 because Brooks never has been and never will be one. He's a passable 6 who can be a good player on his day.

Fact is we're in last place with him and haven't done much better the past few years. He's played every game this year bar one so it's not like we're losing the key piece of a successful side. We're losing a pretty average and overpaid player in an unsuccessful side.

Of course the media are going to say he's a good signing ... what do you want them to do? Publicly shame him on TV? No signing has ever been called bad at the time it was made.

Ahhh they were happy to death-ride him for all the years and now suddenly the guy is class. Give me a break! It’s hilarious and only makes them look foolish. Typical pundits trying to always sit on the side of the fence that suits them. Who cares. The laughs are on them. And Manly! 😂

The playmaker just not even talking to his runners during a set near the opposition tryline, appearing to disappear when we needed a repeat set…. 11 years of this on repeat on repeat on repeat … Manly … I wish you all the best…. 😎

I feel like I have just watched a Brooks highlight package from the last 11 years reading that.
I could actually visulise every play there you mentioned, as it has been burnt into the bad part of my memories from seeing time and time again.
 
I would aggressive and throw $2.7m 3 yrs or there abouts to Tanah Boyd!!! And if we get Fainu then we have a nice spine for the next fees years! Need to aim for next year. Not 3 years down the tracks, we will lose some of the pack that is firing now. Anyway am sick of a 3-5 yr plan. And while we are at it get another centre and winger.
