I wouldn't abuse the guy but he was on elite pay while giving journeyman performances for years. Imagine the difference if Luke:

1) actually gave value for money, or

2) was paid his worth, allowing Tigers to upgrade the rest of the squad.

Well according to Sheens that’s what the fans supposedly think Brooks should do every game. He’ll finally be living up to our lofty expectations!

Brooks will most likely do well at Manly and I hope he does. What really ticks me off is that our coaches and even Brooks himself couldn’t see that the WT/Brooks relationship was beyond stale and needed to be sorted out BEFORE this season started, choosing instead to offload Hastings, publicly declare their support for Brooks long term and hinging everything on building a new team around him. Not 6 months later and everyone wants out, what a waste of a season 😞

On another note, I wonder why Manly has signed Jacob Arthur and now Brooks? How many halves do they need unless they have plans for playing either Arthur or Brooks in another position altogether?

Where does their fat 5/8 that they just resigned fit in?

Manly have two genuine NRL halves in DCE and Brooks. Manly obviously believe Schuster is better suited to another position. Arthur and Cooper are NSW Cup.

Surely Sheens and Benji saw this coming. Reportedly wanted out last year till Sheens blocked it, said himself that he would be selfish witn his next contract yet they still made it known that he was in their plans and then - surprise turns down their offer
Now we currently have no FG standard halves at the club. Wouldnt it have been nice for a change for the club to be on the front foot and have a replacement signed first instead of now looking like we are scrambling.
